Shit...I only got 14,500 for my 07.

IBDRINKEN - If your car was 24karet gold plated would you still have sold your car for $14,500?  :poke:
Steve's car has so many mods done to it that the price of the car does not compare to any other Kappa on the market today, its a Kappa of it's own.... Just take a look at eBay's kappa cars being listed for sale, do you think Steve's Solstice modified to where is has it know is worth the the same as those that are going for 17- 19K (2007) (and people are paying that price)...
How much do you think you would be spending if you got a Turbo Kappa and added everything that Steve has added to his car, can we say you'll be spending over 26K........   ;)

True but keep in mind the V8 Solstice that their owners have expend well over 50K and sell for less than $30K.
It will take someone that likes what Steve has done and want to spend the money.
At 20K he may get it...... he needs to be patient.

Just so you realize that there is a group of people who look at a car such as Steve's, and then start deducting from the value for all of the modifications.  For the most part, this group won't even consider Steve's car.

Should also point out that IBD's car had a *host* of go-faster mods too.  Not as much done to it as Stevie/Spicy/Spiky, sure.  But IBD didn't make the cost of his mods back in any shape or form.  The going price you're likely to make is not going to exceed the Kelly/NADA book price UNLESS you find just the right buyer who wants, and is looking for, that one-of-a-kind car.

I'm a realistic guy...I know you don't get a great return for mods.  I have spent well over 10-12k in mods...I think I even lost count.  The body work and paint alone was 5k.  You either like the car or you don't.  Someone who really likes it will be the one to get it, and that's the person I want to have it.

And I thought GJ and I were a couple of her friends, what are you trying to say about us Critter?

GJ, Critter is getting the cross drilled brake lines at the next MM and that's final.

I never put bags in the Tacoma and I never had a problem with that as long as it was in 4WD.
Do you really think that'll be necessary? The back end is light though. I can spin wheels and kick the back end out pretty damn quickly in this beast.

Karen you would be suprised what a difference it makes, rides better as well.
If not sand then maybe SA and GJ as they are your friends as well - feel better SA?

Now back on track (yeah right)  good luck on your sale buddy, but you will miss the intruder if you do sell it and you know it.

Some buyers like a STOCK vehicle....and really appeals to them.

But to some, they like a modified car so they can save money with their future "mods".

I know that Steve took a great care of his "one-off car" and also spent tons of hours and money for his customizations and mods.    Its tough to recover all the money spent on this, and he really needs to find that "perfect buyer"....that will appreciate the mods done to the car.  And that buyer knows that he/she will be saving money since the mods are already installed.

Look at the TJIN Solstice car.    I consider that one of my top Solstice out there.    Actually, its my fav among all kappa show cars.    My friend Neil  has more than $40k on mods alone on that car (not including buying the car brand new).    It won tons of CARSHOW TROPHIES,  travelled around the country, and got featured on several magazines.     Plus it has very few miles on that car...since its a pure show car!   And he was able to only sell it for less than $20k.    :(

Car ended on the hands of Martin Scott.............

here are some photos and some of the upgrades:  http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3205576/2006-pontiac-solstice

I almost bought it for $16k since its ready to rock and roll.........but I decided to modify my sky instead.

It's tough to sell a fully modified car..........and is usually sold around the same price of STOCK car.

I personally like to buy a completely stock vehicle, so I can modify it to my own taste.

I love the stance on that car!!! It does prove that an object is only worth what someone is willing to pay. The right buyer is out there but it may be like finding a needle in a haystack. Time will tell. Batten down the hatches...

LOL I would think that selling a pure show car would be real difficult....the good thing about mine is that is has tasteful and effective mods that still allow it to be a great daily driver!

Be patient.  Intruder is awesome, needs to be sold for a good price and get a good new owner who will appreciate everything you have done

My suggestion would be to wait till the spring to really consider any offers. If that is when you'll get the most money and you're not in a rush to sell it, then that would be your best bet.  :)
