I'll take PA weather over Vegas all year long.
I like the change of seasons, I like snow and Vegas is dangerously hot part of the year.

Because we all know PA doesn't get dangerously cold or anything...

Since this welcome thread is polluted already...

San Diego has three seasons, year long top down weather, snow, and more beautiful women per capita than any other city in the USA.  The only reason none of you live here is because then you and I would be neighbors, and that's just damn scary!

California would be a great place if it weren't for the, well, you know...

Furthermore, we are only in Vegas because this is where the Air Force told us to call home...

:D
Understood, however...Do you drive to work in the morning with a bucket of soapy water and wash your car, perhaps in a suit, before heading in to the office or to punch the clock?
Easy answer: No, I'm retired, so no stinky suit needed...  :D
Proper cleaning maintenance to the bumper of your car will avoid any damage from these love bugs. A few good coats of wax, and a daily wipe with detail spray will keep you from carrying a bucket full of soapy water to work.... You make it sound like this is an every day thing for us here in Florida. Early spring for about 1 1/2 weeks, then again in fall for 1 week...
Now I can't help you out with the Los Vegas Scorpions on your car seat....  ;)

Congrats on the retirement! I have been retired since 2004 and loving every minute of it. We have been here two years now and have yet to see a scorpion even when out hiking (we hike the desert in the cooler months and the mountains in the warmer months). Used to find them growing up in Texas under just about any rock and certainly thought they might be a nuisance here but I guess not. Have seen 2 tarantulas and no snakes. Another BIG, HUGE bonus is the mosquitoes. They are almost NONE (ELFF - That alone is worth a few weeks of really hot weather)!!! I've seen more mosquitoes in one summer night in Florida than I have seen in two years here. We lived in the panhandle and the love bug season lasted longer than what it did in your neck of the woods.

Congrats and welcome to the friendlier & rowdier (but respectful, generally... ;)) forum.  I've been watching; Infested.  AZ and scorpions are mentioned frequently.  My wife hates the show, I keep telling her we shouldn't be fooled into thinking we share the planet with rodents & insects as much as accepting THEY share it with us.

Indeed elff!!!  This has been a superior welcome for Sky Addict, infact with this post being reply#34 I believe it may truly be a record for the welcome threads. Please indeed keep the welcomes coming because anyone who has a forum handle,  of "Sky Addict" has to be a winner indeed!  One of the the best handles I have yet seen on the forum and shows moxie and attitude.  Some things you don't want to be addicted to but Kappa's, yes indeed!  :usa: :urock:
