I've got some questions for you. Will the radio fit/connect into a non Monsoon car? Does the radio have the "auto volume" (the volume increases by itself when speed is increased)? Has anyone shown any intrest in these items?

my car is a non-monsoon car.  This system came off my car.   So it should work on your car as well!

In regards to auto volume.   I never experienced that in this system.   So there's a chance it doesn't have it.

Looks like a standard 2008 mp3 player, so should have the auto-volume.  It's controlled (off/low/med/high) from the menu functions.

I always found the auto volume annoying anyway but that's just me...

Heh!  I'm the opposite.  I LOVE the fact that I don't have to turn the radio down when stopped at a light (etc) yet can still hear it while cruisin'.  It's one of the main reasons I migrated to the OEM USB radio instead of going aftermarket.  Each to his own :)

Exactly you have to set the high volume at speed, and have it turn down as you slow down.  If you set the low volume it is never right at speed.

Quite a few aftermarket radios now have inputs from the vehicle speed sensor which helps to make the GPS more accurate and allows for speed sensitive auto volume adjustment.

Ok, so it will work. Does it need to be "programed" by a dealer for it to work? How does that work? How much could that cost me?

Yes.  Dealership must program the radio to your car.  Seems like usually 1-1.5 hours is what dealerships seem to be charging.
