Are springs the only thing holding us back from increasing the redline to 8,000+ RPM?  I realize the stock turbo runs out of steam around 6k, but if somebody had a bigger turbo, would they also need to replace other engine internals to handle those high revs?

yup bigger turbos will definitely benefit from revving higher than stock redline

changing rods, pistons, valve springs/etc....will make sure that it can handle the higher rpms

Stock valve springs can have valve float past 7200rpm... it may survive once or twice past 7k, but its not something that is smart to do consistently without upgrading.

These springs are very affordable for 8k capable springs!

What's your guys take on fhe balance shafts. For high rpm.

At what point do you suggest neutrals or deletes.

pretty much if you build the motor, throw in a neutral shaft. The stockers look like paddles and have a lot of windage loss
