Coolant Drain Procedure
« on: March 19, 2012, 08:00:28 PM »
My 2007 GXP turned 5 late last November so the coolant needs changed. I've been waiting for better weather to do it myself. I've seen the thread on how to fill the system but nothing on how to drain it. Is there a petcock on the radiator, are there drain plugs in the block? Can anyone give me some help please?

There is a pit cock on the bottom right side of the radiator. If you want to get it all out take a air hose and blow in the
overflow tube with the cap on. Don't use a lot of air pressure it makes a mess

1 gal of Dexcool mixed 50/50 will be more than enough to refill it.

Thanks Glenn I'll give that a try. I posted this on the other forum and shabby says there is also a drain on the bottom of the waterpump.

Anytime Charlie. The one on the water pump is a little hard to get to with all the "plastic" under the front, the easiest is the one on the radiator.
