Topic: Replacement calipers

A while ago a vendor (I think it was DDM) was working on some bolt-on, lightweight, 4-piston calipers.  They sounded pretty appealing.  Does anybody know what happened?

They are working on re-introducing them to the solstice/sky public!

There are other options as well:

The Cobalt SS brembo calipers work with the Solstice/Sky- but you cannot retain your stock wheels without a spacer.

The Boxster (Non-S model) calipers will work as well, but you'll need to make your own bracket- if you need dimesions- hit me up.

Both of these upgrades are less than 600.00

If you're a big spender, contact TCE for about 1200~1500 you can upgrade your rotors, calipers, lines and all that.

Not a big spender, so the Cobalt calipers sound interesting.  I have TR Motorsports C2 wheels, which seem to have more clearance than stock, so I might be okay.  On the other hand, if DDM comes out with a product, I'm sure it'll be well tested specifically for our platform.

All of these options have been tested and do exactly as designed- but the major deciding factor for me was availability- and other than the need to have to make brackets, the Porsche setup has been the cheapest- you'll spend more money on the brackets than anything else.

I have the TCE kit front and rear.
It's an amazing setup and shaves 22lbs of Unsprung weight off the front and maintains the parking brake in the rear.
As its a production kit, it's always available
