I wasn't concerned about the springs, so no I have not done any research on that.
This was more of a coil over comparison

No but I do have rates for the Best Western in Both Greenville and Piedmont.

I have borrowed a car this week with the B&G coilovers... and I am going to say they are NOT for a DD use unless you can really tolerate a still ride. My goodness, when I get to an expansion strip on a bridge I swear the car is trying to throw me through the top!

However I absolutely LOVE the way you can dive in corners with them.... it is definitely a love hate relationship. IMO if you have very good roads where you live, they would be just fine. However the roads in Ohio are not so forgiving. Therefore DD use here, would be pretty rough.

They are adjustable so you can eliminate that and set it up to however you like.
I can make mine as soft as the stock suspension or so stiff a corn star would run away screaming.

you cannot adjust the spring pressures a whole lot. I know you can adjust the preload on the springs, but you cannot adjust the stiffness the spring has. I am assuming there is not a ton of preload on the springs now, but i don't know that. Do you know where they come from the factory? Because Dave didnt adjust the preload to my knowledge. It should be the same as your car unless you adjusted your preload, elff. I have rode in it full soft and it was still a kidney beater on bridge approaches. Right now I believe it is set full soft on the fronts and +7 in the rears.

Again you have to recall that I have a 100 mile commute each day, and ohio is not known for all the roads just being pretty in the spring time, so its gotta squish a little bit for the DD duty in my situation. I am sure in Arizona, there would be zero issues with it.

As far as running into a corner, the drive ability though the corner is far superior to stock. No body roll and the car is just planted. But like I said a lot of my daily driving is a 60/40 mix of highway and country roads, which aren't always the best for low sports cars.

If it was mine I would be pulling preload out of the springs if possible. It is not, so obviously I am not messing with it.

Miller, the roads in PA are worse than the roads in Ohio. Only state with worse roads than PA is Louisiana and they at least have a reason. HURRICANES!!!
I've been looking to get a balance for performance to comfort, but comfort has to suffer somewhat to increase handling. Personally I believe the B&Gs do a good job of that.
My Sky actually handles better, yet rides more comfortable then my wife's and my friends first Gen Mini Cooper S's

Sounds like you would be better suited with the BC Coilovers and maybe even get them with custom springs. Or, if you are going to be Drag Racing your Sky after the turbo upgrade, you might want to go with the HKS or KW as softer rear springs will help your traction.

Average spring rate on our drag cars here is 3kg in the rear. Which is very close to the stock setup. I would like the adjust ability of coilovers, but I just don't like the ride for commuting... give and take I guess...

You have to remember I have been driving a 1/2 ton truck with big flexible 33" mud countries on it right now. Everything is going to feel rock hard to me. I haven't driven my sky since October.

I just was a bit amazed how much bounce I got off of the bridge approaches.

I have the same assessment with regard to the bridge approaches. It's very bouncy. I didn't get a chance to play with the adjustment much to see if it could be improved.

Other than that, I'm fine with the ride. Of course I don't drive the car everyday either.

Sounds like elff's must be set up differently than mine somehow.

My BC coilover can be adjusted from softer than stock to I'd-rather-ride-in-an-empty-dump-truck. When dampers are set at 3 or below, it wallows almost like a Caddy. At Click 30, handling becomes nearly razor sharp; very overdamped to the point the dampers feel like disallowing compression. How stiff are the springs on B&G ?

Come on, your kidney's can't take b&g coilovers? At the softest setting they feel like stock to me.
