What about the other colors from work? That yellow/ orange color might actually work.

By the way, that is one of the best perks I've heard of, you lucky bastard!

You could call the enemy and get a really nice green... Or red... Or orange....

If you go to home depot, I have MTD standard colors. Luckily with our snow season coming up, I have a bit more of a variety to choose from... off the top of my head I can get:

90% of the year we paint pitch black, blackjack or cub yellow with very few color changes. The other colors change multiple times a week when we build snow throwers. Snow white is by far the most rare (maybe 2 runs per year for only a few hours at a time.)

BTW marvic, The pink and green still look better than the white wheels.

The Red is OK, but not great.

I guess I am more conservative...the colors are great if they do it for you, but what does it for me is the classic look and Carol and I decided to upgrade to the optional $545.00 18" Chrome wheels on are early build 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. They look as classy today as they did when taking delivery. You can check them out at the North Carolina NASSM! I can't wait for the drive there and Miss Red Eagle is gearing up for the adventure. If you see the Kansas license plate, "GXPinKC" parked in the lot I will probably be detailing.

The debate is the time table that it will take to get my car back. I could return Sky to stock and sell for 15k,+ my build money = 800+whp evo with all the goodies. (that assuming I buy EVERYTHING at retail and install at my friends shop)

I am just not a very patient guy when it comes to my car. I could literally order and have all the things here by the end of May to build an evo. Found a roller in Chicago that is ready to build. I am looking in the supra and vette world as well for some options. Bottom line is if I have the cash, and I have the plan, I want to get it going, not sit and wait.

I really want to build up my sky, but I am not going to let the entire summer go buy w.o a car.

supposed to be moar powa build. but that has stalled. Was told when I sent it (end of december), it would begin in March and be ready to pickup by the beginning of May.. Then it was maybe start in April. Then when I was there in April, it was that the car would be done by NASSM in June... as far as I know, nothing has been ordered/done with the car as of yet. And from what I know is in front of my car, I am looking at MAYBE by the end of summer. Still waiting on an updated for when it will go in from the source. My request for an "actual" date of the project beginning was sent on 27th of April. I was told that I would be informed this week. I sent a reminder email today.

And yes kelu I am very aware. He posted a video of another tear down this week out of a 6 bolt DSM drag car that was beat to hell, ran lean, and actually blew up the oil stub shaft. The motor still looked great other than the couple dings that the blown up oil shaft caused

Problem is my car is so far away, no ETA, inoperable, and no guarantee when it will begin, etc. Evo's are plentiful, close to home, and I can drive to the shop after work. Again, I will state that I would much rather do my sky, but sometimes you have to do what makes sense...and from where I am sitting, it is looking like MAYBE by August or September (when I would put the car away) would be when it may be completed. Driving my avalanche on some of the few nice Ohio days that Ohio offers is getting pretty painful. As are the car meets where all my friends have their summer cars out and I have a dang 1/2 ton truck.

Hoping for good news in the inbox soon, but im not holding my breath.

I know you didn't like the photoshop that someone did of the Solstice with white wheels but I still like white wheels on a silver car. I know it's not a Solstice but...

You have to like it though. For a race wheel a color that'll stand out would work well.

Get a cheap can of spray paint in the color that you considering and spray a pair. Mount them on one side of the car, stand back and have a look. They're gonna blast them to take the old finish off them anyway and this way you get to see how they look.
