Sorry I haven't posted on this thread sooner.

Yes, there is a committee forming and making plans for NASSM 2014 in the Poconos region of PA.

Our first task it so choose the venue and lock in the date so that we can proceed with the many other aspects of planning the event.  Our target date will be the Solstice weekend in June, but final confirmation will be dependent on availability at our selected lodging location.

solli4me and I are currently checking into several lodging choices, and hopefully can get that settled within the coming weeks.

More updates to come!!!!

If you can do it, please don't make lodging arrangements in Williamsport.  :gaah:

You have no skills but are you trainable? I like that in a man.

You are correct.  Toss me an occasional doggie treat and I can learn anything!

There's at least one left with the Champange glass tubs, but I don't recall the name.  Mount Airy Lodge was (thankfully) torn down several years back and replaced with a casino.  Poker, anyone?

That's the place Mt. Airy.  If I remember correctly it was 3 separate hotels, the lodge with the golf course and ski lifts, another one with the champagne glasses, and then the Roman one.  Went there over 20 years ago, it was getting run down then.

Supposedly it used to be quite a place...probably back in the 60s.  Yes, even 20 years ago it was not pretty.

I used to hunt on their property, as they were good enough to allow people to do so.
