100-150 km/h Performance - post your times
« on: July 14, 2012, 01:29:20 PM »
Hi guys,

Thought it would be interesting to see how our cars can perform. Please post your best time in a 3rd gear pull. Would also be interesting to know what modifications you might have made to your engine, transmission etc.

60-100 mph times are also welcome. Please note whether it is 100-150 km/h or 60-100 mph

Here is my best time

100-150 km/h: 3.09

Performance mods:
Turbo: EFR 6758
BHP / (WHP) : Not measured / (Not measured)
Fuel type: E47
Engine mods: HG Motorsport intercooler, custom intercooler pipes, Magnaflow exhaust, 100 CPI race cat.
Suspension: BC racing
Transmission: Stock

PS: I am well aware of the fuel pressure drop in the above screenshots.

Thats a very good time, but you are getting a decent amount of knock in there.
Id guess the initial spike is 4 and the others are all 3.

Not quite, first hit is 3, then 2, and then 3 again. Have sorted that out. Not in this log though.

Am I reading this wrong?. Your Air flow with a EFR 6758 is only 34..., that seems a little low to me.

Wohohoo, I finally see an european EFR working, congratulation.

21* timing, HATE you for that!!!

I was expecting to see a lot more airflow from 6758, but your maf looks a little bit uncalibrated.

May I ask you if you adjust fuel pressure or anything related to injection.

PS: I will post mine in a couple of days ;)

Thanks Kelu

Yeah, a few tables have been adjusted in terms of fueling. Fuel pressure, inj constant and injector pulse mult. Looking forward to seeing your time.

I will try to get the 4th gear measurement in a few days. Weather is crap here in Sweden at the moment. Too much rain. Looking forward to see your time.

Am I reading this wrong?. Your Air flow with a EFR 6758 is only 34..., that seems a little low to me.

You are reading this correct - with this current tune the ECM shows a VE of 34 and a MAF of 38 lb/m at 6800 rpms. The highest flow numbers that I have seen so far with this setup is 47 MAF and 39 VE, but that is above 7000 rpms, and with other settings in the cam and ign tables. The best 100-150 km/h achieved is with with my current setting which is actually showing a lower measured airflow.

im just amazed you were able to get your hands on an EFR in sweeden. Those turbos are still hard to come by

Guess I was lucky :) Got hold of it last summer from a guy here is Sweden that had a few. I was not aware that these turbos are hard to come by.

You better buy yourself a spare if you can find one, because if the one you have breaks, you will not be getting a replacement in 2012 through Borg Warner

Jesus, is it that bad? What is the problem with the production of these turbochargers? Is is just that demand being well above supply?

Yes.

Werks has been waiting since January.
They have full kits but can't get their hands on a turbo.

Yeah, my ECU Tuner confirmed too. Delivery was around 4 months and he had also warranty cases which took 8 months.

Everybody is dropping the EFR option because of that.

Thanks for letting me know guys. I will try and be kind to this turbo. This did not help when I met a Koenigsegg  CCR on the highway earlier today. Jesus, that car was fast.

Impressive time ladies ;)

You guys use 3rd gear for this right?

On a side note comparo , I remember I was on some tests in a local Nissan GTR (orange one for the 3 who saw it live) which was doing 100-200 kmh in under 4s  :D maybe this one could be a match for the CCR which Getaway mentioned :D

Yes 3rd gear although it's not quite long enough for a 60-100 pull.

Getting one is humanly acceptable, but if you broke it, than you should contact aliens to get it fixed :D Because for them one day means about 6 months on earth

Been there, talked with aliens, decided to stick with humans.
