Topic: Aftershock still in business?

Even though Rudy's Aftershock website still comes up, it appears that it's been months that it's been mentioned on forums let alone anyone talking or attempting to purchase products.  I'm finally wanting to buy the ducktail spoiler made by RKSports (but even RKSports website doesn't display Aftershock as a supplier).  So basically, do I order from Aftershock and then just hope that the order is received and processed?

I sent him an email about wanting to buy some stuff, he responded a 2 months later that they were down temporarily and would be back  up and running shortly.  That was in March.  So my guess is he is out of business.

If memory serves that is how he has been doing business all along, last I had heard there were some health issues in the family.

If so, that's so disappointing.

Of the exterior mods to my Sol, no doubt Rudy's spoiler pleased me the the most; well thought out, designed and constructed.

Talking with him was inspiring enough to decide I should also have a go at developing goods.

Hopefully it'll be a temporary departure and he'll be back soon with his creative offerings.

Yeah, the ducktail spoiler was my fav, plan was to ship it to norm to put a little more tail in the duck.  I like to believe the demand is there (same as recessed grills) but understand families first.  Still holding & hoping that things will eventually get back on track.

If you talk to Norm, he should be able to build whatever you'd like.

I'd be interested in a tall spoiler as well.

Norm's swapped, with building a widebody for Sema, coupe conversion, plus other vehicles he works on.  I know the questions surrounding the recessed grill came up a few months ago and Rudy responded when that came up so hoped it would begin moving forward again, but it seems to have fallen through yet again.  The primary issue (for me) is that these are Rudy's designs (and work) so it doesn't seem right for someone else to offer them unless he's willing to sign off.  It's like the duck tail spoiler, an RK rep told me they actually make them but orders have to come through Aftershock.  Adding to the confusion is the website still comes up but if customers start hearing of issues than most probably would rather be safe than sorry.

I went through this when I was into Fiero's too.  A lot of people would say they were going to offer stuff (some actually did) but the majority of them would disappear so it tends to make potential customers gun shy.

I would like the smoked lenses for the side lights. Anyone have them to sell? I have the ASAP covers but the actual lights would look cleaner.

I ordered lenses in April and got them within two weeks or so- waaaaay faster than the first time.

I would try sending Rudy an email and see what happens.
