FS: 2007 Pontiac Solstice - A Street Prepared
« on: September 17, 2012, 12:53:50 PM »
For Sale: 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP – A-Street Prepared
Miles: 40,000
Price: $24,000; $25,500 including CCW wheels;  Add $2,000 to include trailer ($2,250 for trailer separately)
Cost to duplicate: $34,000+
Contact alextjones@gmail.com

Up for sale is my SCCA Solo prepped A-Street Prepared Solstice GXP. Very well known and proven to be a top competitor nationally. This car can be the car that breaks the AWD domination of ASP (driver just needs two good days :P)! Locally this car can easily (and normally does) take top PAX.
The car is also very reliable for ASP. No worry about busted transfer cases or blown transmissions (like it’s AWD competitors). It is stout and takes a punishment. Probably the lightest car in ASP at nationals, 2,750 lbs.

Quote from Co-Driver Tim Moyer:
"I have to just say, this is easily the best car to just hop in and go fast I've ever been in. It's intimidating until your done with that first run, once your feet are wet, and realize how much grip it has, it's easy to find the limit, and easier than anything I've driven to flirt with that limit in all aspects. I really REALLY appreciate Alex giving me the opportunity to co-drive this car for the last 4 years. I couldn't have asked for a better prepped more reliable car at such a bonkers prep level. The reliability and price to play for the type of speed this car delivers may only be matched by the CSP miatas (and really. who WANTS to drive a miata?) not to mention the class act that the ASP community is, they really are a blast to compete with."

Quote from Heyward Wagner:
"I think this is the best tool for the job of autocross I have ever driven."

Notable Wins/Accomplishments:
2009 SCCA Solo Nationals BSP – 4th place (top 2wd car)
2009 Detroit Region SCCA – Pro Class Champion
2009 Detroit Region SCCA – Season Index Champion

2012 Toledo Pro Solo Bonus Challenge - 2nd place

There's also a picture of this car in the latest GRM issue!  Sorry to see you switch out of ASP, I was hoping you would beat those Evos one of these days.  Time for an FP build?

Attempting to part out the Sky, put it back to stock, clean up the Solo bruises and sell it. Had NO idea Alex was selling his car, but a 2000-2200 pound GXP will be crazy.

Minimum weight for an FP GXP is 2397.6 lbs w/10" wide wheels add 100 lbs if you use wider than 10"

One reason I don't really want to sell the wheels is I can buy new inner halfs from CCW which will make them 10" wide and I'll be able to get rid of the 1" spacer in the rear then too.

Since i know a little about trailers I'll give you a plug.

For those looking for just a trailer, that is an awesome deal.  I found a leftover 16' trailer and paid Over $3000 for it.  New, this trailer would be $4000+
So $2250 for an 18' trailer especially with the additional goodies is a fantastic price!!!
It's 50% off

Bump!
If it doesn't sell for this price (or very close to it), this car will become the FP car!
Doing some simple math there isn't much of a price difference either way I do it. Prepping this car saves a lot of time too!

I personally think you should prep this car and not sell it.

You are already familiar with it and drive it great.
and
Anyone interested would probably try to undercut what you want for it.

Hello, not sure if its applicale to your situation. But were making a wide body to GT3 regs, 2'' wider in the rear and 1 1/2" front with ground effects on the side. Still working with another team on the overall look. Thanks Norm

Huge congrats on the victory for the year!
