Hey Elff if that race happens and if you are in the lead can you say "they're always after me lucky charms" and video it for us?

I am sure we could have Rookie get that on video ;)

Really looking forward to this years open house, still have a lot to get ready though! The webcam will be up again this year for those that can't make it and just want to sit back and watch the festivities.

Just had a VA state trooper eyeball me as i flipped back to a 93 Octane tune at the rest stop we are at.
I guess the vertical doors and laptop had him wondering what i was doing.   About 350 miles to go

Well, its Saturday a.m. and I hope that all who took Dave's run survived/ had fun.  (Did you lead with the Arial or the Miata?)

First open house I've not been able to make- (yeah, I know, it breaks some of your hearts), but I always learned something at each event.  I wanted to get over the mountain with both cars and have been anticipating drooling (figurately) over 1KulSol.  Since each LS3 install has been unique, this is the one I've been trying to follow closely.  I can just picture Mike telling of all the (formerly) secret details of his install, beaming like the proud papa that he is!

BTW, the Stage I S/C has over 100,000 miles (not kilometers!) on it, having had an oil change at last year's open house.

Happy (early) Birthday Dave!

We got everything squared away on mine.
New IC
new Spec3+ clutch with spec aluminum flywheel.
It would not bolt up with the spacer under the slave cylinder so I am not running one.

On a kappa with the torque arm, i cant imagine someone doing this install on jack stands.  What a Pita it was to align everything.

Critters built engine was swapped in and the timing chain is being aligned right now.

Day 2 off the engine install.  The install went well yesterday.  Tried to start it and had a horrible squeal every time it rolled over.  Checked this and that and we where all stumped.  Sound was coming from everywhere.  It think it was Dave that figured out the coil packs had Been installed with out the sharp plugs.  Put the plugs in and it came alive just after midnight.  It still wasn't right.  Called it a night.  Stared it today and we are having an issue with can timing.  Dave is pulling the special cams we were going to try and put the stock cams back in.  Stay tuned.

So while I was out on the road test I heard something rattling around. Thinking it was my wheel lock the we had missed placed I searched the car. I found the attached coffee can with the three ping pong balls inside of it. Ivy is not very brave and broke u dear interrogation. She has thrown someone under the bus and if you would like to confess now, rtrebution will not be as harsh. This offer expires when I get back home

Well I know it wasn't me because I was trying to do something similar but with an empty Guinness can you know the ones that have that "widget" that rattles around.  But some people wouldn't save me their empties, and unlike Ivy I ain't going to tell you who those people are.
