If you take the Type S 4" Inlet 2.5 oulet compressor housing option. Can I still use the OEM intake CAI hose?

The WR-3 requires an aftermarket intake pipe of some sort.  The smaller compresor cover still has a 3" inlet.

How does the spool up compare to the stock K-04 and the WR-2?

Also, Can you speak to potential surge?  Working with 91 octane here in Az with stock internals, so I wont be pushing this thing too much (400whp goal).  Its a step up from my current set up and should add 50whp in the end I hope.  I plan to replace the valve springs and up the redline to 7500 when I do the upgrade.  I may also look at an automatic meth injection system if needed to get to 400whp.

No surge on any of our WR series turbochargers.  You will most likely need the water/meth injection as well, straight 91 octane really bites!  Even if you don't I highly reccomend water/meth injection due to its great cleaning properties on the engine internals specifically on the intake valves themselves.

Spool time is increased a bit over the WR-1 and WR-2.

We saw 20psi at 3950rpm on a Balt SS we tuned last Thursday using our WR-3

Agreed on 91 octane but thats what I got to work with.  I will look into the meth systems sooner rather than later.  Glad to hear surge is not an issue.
