How's this for digging up an old derailed thread?

I was at Metro yesterday (think of it as a European Costco/Sam's/super wal-mart) and found this:

http://www.carplan-international.com/carplan/item/218-rubber-seal-silicone-stick

It's sort of like weatherstrip lube in the form of a little deodorant stick (perhaps more apropos a comparison would be to a glue stick) .  So much easier than smearing dielectric grease from a tube on your rubbers or spraying silicone onto a rag and wiping your rubbers down.  How do we not have a product like this available in America??

It says the shelf life is only 3 years, for whatever reason.  I used it on my beater car here and it took very little to do all of the seals.  I could probably use this one stick for at lest three years on two or three cars, applying twice per year.

I used einszett gummi pflege this past winter. Returned alot of the springiness to the seals. Going to apply it again this winter.
