I am not sure there is a complete kit I would recommend, AEM makes a nice controller, so does Devils Own, I think there kits might be a little better quality than AEM. I can tell you where to get the pump, there is a company that makes kits for Harley's that make there own pump and it can be bought separately, they might make a car kit seems like it would be easy enough for them, but I bet it would be $1500. They are pretty good, they make a 130 ci 2 cylinder V-Twin with a turbo and meth that cranks out 450 hp, just a little more than half the size of our motors and half the cylinders. They hold many many records at Bonneville. If I do a meth kit they will be involved for sure, they did the custom pipes for my Harley. Here is a link to more than you ever wanted to know about water/meth injection from someone who does it right. http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/waterinjection.html |

Well Lyndon offers his own water/meth kit. I would go with this kit since obviously he trust it enough to sell it :) Also, im not looking to go balls out either but a nice little boost would be nice :) I want to be able to run higher octane and this seems like the most cost efficient in the long run. Is there a how to install water/meth anywhere? Does this have to be done by a shop? |

What kind of gain can one expect from a water/meth kit on a GXP with a tune? |

The meth kit installs I have seen are mostly pretty easy, there are a ton of different ways to install a meth kit, depending on where you want to inject it. It can be very simple, inject in the intercooler coupling, or very hard inject into the throttle body. There is a huge debate of before or after the MAF, if you get a very good kit with a good nozzle I would go before the MAF. Then the MAF can sense the cooler denser charge and adjust for it, for most kits I would go after as they tend to spray to big a droplet and will mess up the MAF reading and eventually the MAF. There is some really good info on http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ this is the Devils Own website. Do the research and read up on this there are a lot of variables. Lyndon does sell kits and has done a lot of them. Here is some info on nozzle placement http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com/a40/Where-Do-I-Position-My-Water-Methanol-Injection-Nozzles/article_info.html |
