A few forum members have met me before in New York when I did not have my Kappa, such as ReedRed, Shiny, and Kelu. My other car is a Cobalt LS and the time has come where I now have my own Kappa.

My new 2008 Pontaic Solstice GXP in Magnetic

The car is stock and is in the 2008 model year only Magnetic paint color with a manual transmission. The car only had 18,700 miles on it when I picked her up.

To my knowledge, the Magnetic color only has 274 examples in existence. Add that it is a GXP and a Manual Transmission and that number goes down even more. Still don't know how many of those there are but if anyone knows, please chime in!

FYI: For those who do not know what "Magnetic" is, it is simply the same exact color as "Carbon Flash" for the Sky. It is a Metallic Black paint only offered in 2008. (hope that answers some possible questions)

rotarypiston . Welcome to the Kappa Performance Forum , Good looking car and now the bad news ! The color of the Car is Carbon Flash Metallic . Thats the color that they only made 274 of in 2008 ,the Skys are the same color and there are some that Just have the stripesin that color and they made around 585 i think. I've Never heard of the color " Magnetic " before you wrote it .

Staying true to naming the colors after 'emotions' it is called Magnetic.

The generic GM color is Carbon Flash Metallic.
As applied to the Saturn Sky it was known as "Carbon Flash".
As applied to the Pontiac Solstice it was known as "Magnetic".

It's more a charcoal black metallic..the first one I saw was at Mecca II.

Mom I was at ( Mecca II.) my windshield posts are painted the same but not Charcoal . This picture was just after I got the tag in Feb. 2009

When looking up your paint code through GM internal employee access, the paint code for 58U shows magnetic for Pontiac, and Carbon Flash for Saturn. If you haven't heard this color called Magnetic before, well you learn something new everyday. Now you can call this color by its proper correct name for Pontiac
