Title: Headlights
Post by: Johnny_gxp on January 25, 2018, 12:14:53 PM
Anyone selling black Bezel headlights for the solstice? Does anyone have any cool reliable projector headlights for sale? I also have a brand new BW K04 for sale if anyone wants that. Let me know what you have!

Thanks,
Johnny

You might try calling Tom at crate engine depot. He used to have some of the black headlights in stock.

I think there are a few threads on this forum showing you how to mod your current lights to make what you want.

Yeah it's really pretty easy.  Heat up the oven to 200 degrees, put a headlight in for ~10mins to soften the sticky.  Pry the clear lens off the base.  Remove the chrome shroud, go outside and spray with Easy-Off over cleaner.  Wait 10 mins or so and hose off to remove all the chrome and leave the shiny black plastic underneath.  Reassemble (incl another oven session to soften the glue before clamping back together).

TS. I am afraid I won’t seal them properly and I’ll build up moisture.

You won't have that problem, there's plenty of sticky there.  Plus they are not fully sealed anyway (around the wiring), so even if you did get moisture in, it would dissipate on its own.
