Monaco is always a follow the leader race, but this one is entertaining.  4 drivers were penalized for speeding in the pitlane by 0.01k.   Seems with the new teams needing garages the slow lane in the pit was extended and people were taking a shortcut through the edge of Cadillacs pit.  Made their overall speed through the pits to fast and a 5 second penalty.

This weekend is Monaco, this is usually a case of follow the leader until someone hits the wall and all hell brakes loose.

Highlights:

massive shootout for pole changing every time one of the top runners does a lap.  In the end it was down to .005 difference.
Max has car trouble at the very start of the race and does not complete one lap
I have never seen so many steward's inquires and penalties handed out.  In fact I still don't know whether Perez or Alanso got 10th place and a Point.
Lap 68 of 78 races goes from green-yellow-virtual SC to red flag in a single lap.  When the go to start again another accident in the same spot and another red flag.  Finally a standing restart on we finish the race at this point 4 of the top 5 cars are under investigation.

In the end noone could handle the kid from Italy who won his 5th in a row.  Perfect sweep - pole, fastest lap, lead every lap and won.  That is the abbreviated version.  Worth a watch.

I found that the suite of Montreal races was up on Netflix (Sprint, Practice and actual race) so I watched it.  What a bummer that Russel's car blew - does anyone know what actually happened with it?  I think he had a great chance of beating Antonelli if the car stayed going.

Not sure if this Netflix show was a one off or if they are doing it every time now.  Anyone know?

One of the best races I have seen in a long time.  The Mercedez boys duked it out for the first 30 laps mano a mano till one of them broke.  Kimi is the real deal and gave no quarter to George.  If he keeps racing like this he will be the world champ.  George may have forced him off the track in both the sprint and the main event, but Kimi has dropped the gauntlet and said bring it :censor: .

In other news Lewis in Ferrari and Max in Redbull finished on the podium for the first time this year.

There was serious racing every lap somewhere on the track.

Last week the board crashed and since this is a privately owned and maintained board it will take a while to get it back to where it was before.  Problem is unknown at this time but Joe had to load a clean version of the board.  It will take him a while to get it up to where it was before.  Please bear with him.

Okay . . . . . . bearing . . . . . . . . are we there yet?

If I can be of any assistance . . .
