Gasoline direct injection engines work to co-exist
« on: March 10, 2010, 09:19:42 PM »
Someone on the other forum posted this article.  Great explanation of direct injection, specifically mentions our babies, and how differently the fuel/air mixture burns in the cylinders of direct injection cars.

Talked with some of the Direct injection designers with Bosch at the 2009 Sema show. I think Engine reprogramming is the only way to improve flow since flow can be increased by increasing fuel pressure. If you could fake what the engine fuel pressure is reading maybe the pressure would increase or change the cam map sensor.  These are the mods of the future and I suspect can make huge jumps in hp for our engines. However they keep our hp down for fuel economy and to protect the engine
