Dyno/Performance Results of DDM Stage II SC on '09 Auto
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:56:19 PM »
I finally got around to putting the coupe on the dyno after the SC install, it's just been too hot all summer, sorry for the wait.
So here's the video & results, also played at the strip again the other night & posted a 13.57 @ 99.91mph & 2 other 13.6 runs with one of them hitting the trap @ 100.20. I think the SC is liking the cool weather, that's 4 tenths quicker than when we ran this summer.

It is very telling about how you put power down and at what rate when you look at your graph compared to DBG's.  He is at 287 rwhp, you are at 225.  Accounting for all the differences with different dynos and everything else that everybody is going to say about two different cars on two different dynos yada yada yada... you are putting out significantly less power, similar weight (I think a hundred pounds difference or less) and yet you beat him two out of three...

Very nice (please use your best Borat voice when reading that)

Jimmy what were your numbers before SC? Same Dyno?

What differences in 60ft in hot weather and now?

I thought the SC is supposed to get you instant torque... looks like the torque comes in pretty late here?

Oh yeah damn that torque converter. My bad... one day GM will have some better automatic options out there.

My dyno's are in a thread around here somewhere, with the stick it is a straight climb to around 3k and then just about level across the band until 5200 or so where it start dropping and the hp climbs.

The power curve on the dyno for the auto is deceiving, it is measured in 4th gear & you have to be above 3500rpm before you can go full throttle without it downshifting.

Kelu, N/A was 140.07hp & 134.92 torque, exact same dyno.
Hot summer - recent cool weather best run was:
60ft-2.0049                            60ft-2.0151
330ft-5.7195                          330ft-5.6463
1/8-8.8468@79.14mph             1/8-8.6765@81.54mph
1/4-13.9136@96.24                 1/4-13.5786@99.91mph

I have to say that traction was worse, I was spinning terrible compared to hotter weather (seen by the 60ft times) but for the most part times were quicker.
Stickier tires for cooler weather may bring even quicker times, I'm still running on 3 year old Eagle F1's with minimal tread left on them.

Damn, so you incresed your power to the wheels with 60%, that should be awesome, I would love LNF to be able to increase the power with 60%

Looking at your best runs doesn't seems that the traction was a big deal, you have almost same 60ft and all the other values are better now  :yay:
Thank you for detailed info.

Toss a bigger turbo on and you easily can.
