I'd agree with ophidia31,I'm also assuming you meant "Continental DWS" instead of "Continental DRS"?If that is the case I'm surprised you have had that much trouble.I bought those tires for my Sky after nearly spinning out on a rotary in the rain with the stock tires; I was so impressed I now also have them on our Astra & Impreza. I've driven in all kinds of weather in all these cars - including torrential downpours with standing water without incident.I wonder what is causing the issues you're reporting?
Yes, you are right- I was thinking, "Dry, Rain, Snow," when the designation refers to "Dry, Wet, Snow!"As I stated, I had never driven on stock rubber, so I can imagine that these are far superior to the RSAs and Eagle F1s (NA and GXP respectively).I'll put it down to wider/taller because there was definately "pucker power" at work in that rain storm.
DRS - I figured as much ;o)The size difference may be the culprit - on all three of my cars the tires are smaller than that.Does your car also have wider tires in the rear? If so, that may also be a factor.Does anyone else run this size (275x19)?
