or however much you'd like to rent it for if 06 is unlocked.

I will be in need of some extensive tuning here shortly (finally) and would love to borrow someone's HP Tuners.

Exactly.  The prospective supplier will have already (most likely) spent the money to unlock the platform and in which case, could tune for free.   

I'm just trying to give them a little back for use of the software.

You would have to find someone that spent 6 credits to unlock the whole year.  Hope you do :)  I just went for the 2 credits.

Dave and Randy from DDM Works will be at my place Memorial Weekend.  They have done extensive tuning on the 06 NA.

thanks guys but i don't think i could make it without going reeeaaal lean.

That said, does anyone know if all the added features in the Pro version are really necessary?

The pro version has sensors to monitor real time the different elements used in tuning.  Not required unless you are a serious tuner and know what you are doing.  It'll be nice to finally meet you...

FYI - Traded emails with HPtuners and they said that they will be coming out soon with a product that only does up and downloading of tunes for those that don't need to adjust tunes from vendors such as Westers.  No word on price.

That would be great for someone like me.  I would never tamper with a tune from Westers, but it would be good if I could get updates e-mailed to me, or I could send my tune back to them for tweaking etc.

I wonder how soon "soon" actually is?  Hopefully the price will reflect the much lower capabilities too!

I was able to pickup the std version for 250.  That's still about half the price as the shop was going to charge before tuning.

Anyone in the SEVA ever need tuning, this original offer will stand for you (you'll just need to buy the credits).
