Twisty road shock settings

The lousy weather has settled in, so it's time to start dreaming about all the driving I hope to do next year.

I have a set of BC Coilovers on my Redline.  For autocross I have it set to 5 clicks from soft in the front, and 11 clicks from soft in the rear.  I'm curious to know how those of you with adjustable shocks set yours for twisty canyon driving.  Do you soften them to accommodate road irregularities?  Do you stagger the settings from front to rear?

Since Solo is based on lower speeds, more sudden transitions, and MUCH safer situations if one makes a mistake, it might be wise to soften the rear shocks somewhat to take OUT some of the transitional looseness that those settings may create when confronting cones. A bit of "push" is resolved with some lift on the throttle, while hanging out the ass end (on a public road) can be downright dangerous. Better to be safe rather than be sharing a "war story".

So I should soften the rears to approximately match the fronts?

Interesting.  Your autocross front/rear balance is different than most of the suggestions I've read on the forum.  Do you get much understeer?

Little to none, I had it set lower in the front and had understeer.  One of the more experience drivers (FF5 cobra) drove it and made the recommendations on the settings.   I also have all 3 DDM braces, and a supercharger to kick the rear around  :)

He doesn't get much understeer but he does get more then his fair share of cones. :poke:

Supercharger does cause a bit of oversteer :-)
