Anyone know how these install? The new one I have seems to have long tabs that bend over.... Do you need to remove the airbag?

I have installed an aftermarket steering wheel center cap.

To remove the factory one I didn't have to remove the airbag, it had some tabs like u said and it was just a matter of pulling it out.
The aftermarket one had a sticky surface, no tabs, so again, no point to remove the airbag.

If you need to bend some tabs I would say you have to remove the airbag, just guessing here.

Remove the factory airbag and drill out 4 rivets.  then you can get access to the emblem.
