Can someone confirm if the exhaust manifold will work on a 2.4L base engine?

A friend of mine is planning to use a stock LNF turbo kit onto his 2.4

Yes, it will bolt right up. We have done this several times, works pretty good. You can use the stock LNF oil supply line and the stock water supply line if you modify the thermostat housing on the 2.4L. The other option is to get a LNF thermostat housing which already is tapped for the water supply. For the oil return, you can drill the pan in the exact location that the LNF uses and use a stock drain, or typically we return the oil into the plate that is access for the water pump on the front of the engine. For the water return, you can make a tube to return it into the upper radiator hose easily. Then the turbo will mount right up and you can use a stock intake and any downpipe that fits a LNF and it will bolt right up to the exhaust.

It is called the Sky / Solstice "RS / SS" package. Just like the old Camaro. It was a factory / dealer installed option in 2007 only.

What do you do for engine management. Given the higher compression ratio on the NA, you'd want to control knock and boost carefully.  And you couldn't boost as high anyway, lacking the DI and special piston crowns to allow higher boost/compression combinations.  Do you just stick an ECM from the LNF car in and if so how does that work out?

We just use the stock E67 or E38 ECM, change out to a 2 bar map sensor, install larger injectors, an electronic boost controller and tune. While tuning we do watch for knock and make sure air fuel is good. The 2.4L takes boost really well actually, and anything under 15psi or 300hp is usually fine.
