I like shipping USPS flat rate so there aren't any surprises.  They're tracked, insured, free, and can make it to most places in the country in two days.  Once someone identifies what they're interested in I'll figure out what size box it'll fit in.

For the lighter stuff, you could safely wrap it in news paper and create your own box (or use a padded envelope) then ship it based on weight.
Apparently those flat rate boxes arent that much of a bargain.
But I at least understand where the price came from now.
