Those with a Wester's tune.
« on: February 26, 2009, 11:30:22 PM »
Shift firmness ?.
How firm is the highest setting on this on a Wester's tune for a  07 Auto GXP?
Would it be better to take it down one level from the higest?
Also if I decide to go with a modified intake setup from RPI where they duct cold air from the lower air damn up to the air box will I need to get tuned for that since it still uses the exact intake Diam but just allowing more air to flow better into the air box and intake?
Might just see what DDM Workd has to offer also the only problem is that I really want a Wester's tune.
Thanks

Lyndon Wester has I believe 28 different tunes for the GXP, he can adjust the tune for whatever you get, including the DDM Works CAI, I plan to get the DDM CAI and Lyndon Wester will be doing the tune, nothing against DDM Works but Lyndon is one of the top tuners in the world.
I have no idea how firm the shifts are on the GXP tune but on my tune he did for my truck with an LS1, they are very firm.

Lyndon can tune to which ever mods you'd like to add.

You wont go wrong with this tune believe me. :)

ChuckDoc's Auto GXP was very smooth, I didn't feel any kicking between gears.

Me personally would like it to shift hard but not so hard it's unbearable.

My car is smooth between the gears...I have an auto...no problems with shifting at all.

Do you know if he adjusted the shifts?
I want them to be very firm.
My Daily Driver Truck Auto Trans has a shift kit instead and I like the way it feels very firm between shifts but not neck breaking but you can feel them when you mash the gas real good.
Thanks
