After not completely understanding the purpose of the holes but confirmed they flow to the VVT actuator bores, I decided to just plug them.  The cast holes were sized for an 1/8" NPT, but need to chamfer them.  I tapped down a length of 3/4's-of-a-tap down, but still had to cut the pipe plugs in half and then slot them for a flat head so the sunk under the deck surface.  I used loctite red 271 because it specifically advertises that it is for sealing threads.

I noticed when I upload with the imgur app on my phone it creates a link that uses i.imgur instead of just imgur.com.  So what I did is upload a picture via the PC to get the standard link, TEST TEST do you see this?:

Very cool mod, baked on ceramic (resist exhaust heat right there)

The one I coated is from a 2015 LEA and was formed better; the process in 2006 looks like it reduces cross-sectional area to make the bends.

ATI balancer installer needed. Rented from AZ = Fail, bought HF master set = FAIL, Make my own = WIN

* The issue is the threads are counter-bored very deep in the snout, with a tight bore clearance so the adapters don't work.

Stainless washer, bronze washer, long nut for more contact area (spread stress) and a 1/2" threaded rod piece I didn't bother to shorten.  It was about $10 from the hardware store as mcmaster is not down the street.  The bushing worked well in preventing spin damage to the damper, however they both went concave but it still worked out in that state.

With the PS pump deleted, I tried a 33.5" belt (335K5) was too long tensioner sits near home position and a 32.5" belt (325K5) was too short could not install.  330K5 ordered, as I can't seem to find them nearby.

I was not impressed.  BC Coilovers are my recommendation.  You can set the height and customize your spring rates.

A/C Deleted belt, 330K5 works perfect:

Stock engine mounts were totally blown out.  Something needs to be done about this:

Start with a jig built to the new mounts:

This was a engineer-as-you-go build, the quality is build to fit but the jig will cleanse me of my sins:

Tool access confirmed:

Wow "Aluminum" color high heat engine paint color matches pretty good!

Awwwww, they're married  :award::

Still a ton of work ahead, but at the rate I am going it might actually be running in 2 weeks.  My goal is to get the car going under turbocharger-only power so it is a feasible goal.

The OEM mounts are garbage with 500 whp.  These are racing mounts 1000% better, using a truck rear leaf spring shackle bushing with a 9/16" bolt.  The mount is all 1/4" steel including that tube.  I also did not weld the 10mm mounting bolts so they are full strength.

I installed the rad, H/E, and oil cooler and also started routing the wiring harness.  After this I focused on the rear battery relocation.  Looks like I can run it through the rocker panel easy and come up into the trunk behind the rear plastic wheel house.

Here is the custom battery tray:

Got the rear mount battery system complete last night. The battery is rock solid, even if you remove the strap, it requires force to get it out of the base. Positive cable is 1 gauge, through a Stinger 150A breaker.  The ground goes to the frame in the trunk, but still ran a smaller 4 gauge cable to the front:

I drilled the fiber reinforced tub with a step drill, I got multiple invisible splinters opps lesson learned wear gloves when modifying the tub.  This is on the right side in the rear wheel well:

Through the rocker cavity:

Positive disconnect switch. Grounds going everywhere it's covered:

Upgrading my electrical for various aftermarket upgrades. Mocking up relays and the blue sea fused and ground bus box:

It's very late now

__________________________________________________________

It was hot out today

Can't stop me though. Got a lot of the harness figured out and routing other stuff.  Mocked up the turbo, tacked a 90 to the compressor housing, then built a steel intercooler mount; I suppose it doubles as a venom brace too.  Another brace is coming across the front of the intercooler for support (aluminum), but I'm pretty exhausted right now may throw in the towel for today.

I really wanted a 12AN turbo drain, it ate a lot of time and money trying to get it to work, it's so tight.  I almost had to go 10AN here so the fittings are shorter.

Very difficult to service, trade off is excellent drainage though:

Top view of drain, also see the 90 I welded to the compressor housing:

Custom pipes I made (big side I modified the werks original tube), the whole intake tract is so short, this should reduce lag compared to the FMIC setup:

Remove Oil Filter mount and T-stat installed:

Front Intercooler crossmember mount, also mounted the intercooler pump on it:

Preluber, I backfed 2 quarts of oil through the turbo oil feed line:

Working late, burning the midnight tiki oil.  I wasn't going to bed until I fired up:

It fired, for 1-2 seconds. I am having VATS security problems now.  But I can go to bed now since it fired:
