Anyone know where I can find a replacement set? The cover I bought last year did a number on the lenses? Hell I will even take a set of lenses if you know where to find them.

I'd start by pm-ing Hoosier GXP on all of these forums. He was always my go to guy for OEM parts. Then try Ebay, and the Solstice BB.

The old headlights can't be fixed John? My lights were pretty rough and I was able to get someone to buff them out. After buffing I took them over to the gentleman that did the clear bra on the car back in the day and they now look brand new.

Maybe fix the old ones? Look up a detailer and see if he can help you out.

John Everybody were out of both ( Left & Right's ) when I hit the Guard Rail in N C . I ended up getting the 2009 GXP Coupe FOR MINE they are the Black ones .

Time for a custom headlight build?

If that's the unfortunate case so maybe you could do something a-la Tauro V8? I'd try TheRetrofitSource, maybe they have some ready-assembled HID or LED unit that you could mod to fit your Sols.

Normally I would recommend borrowing them from that Critterman guy but that doesn't sound like a good option right now. Are there any Solstice for sale in your neck of the woods that you cold test drive?

Ebay appears to have some used ones so you might check there.

That's too bad John.

Mine had been out of the car and SOMEHOW looked like one light had been dragged across the ooncrete. I took them to a detailing shop and the fella was able to get them cleaned up with a high speed buffer. I was frankly quite surprised as the scratches were so deep you couldn't drag you finger nail across them.

Maybe give car-part.com or maybe used-auto-parts.net a try?

Critter, I wet sanded mine and then buffed them out and brought back the clear. Helped me sell Renee

Didn't do anything to the paint Bob, just the lights. I am going to pull the lights and see if I can do anything with then.

Critter believe it or not tooth paste works well as a polish on headlights. If you have heavy or deep scratches you will need to sand those out and step through higher grades of sand paper first.

LOL, If the paint wasn't damaged but there headlights were, I have no doubt it can be fixed. With the stock of new lights almost nil it's more important than ever that we fix the lights where we can instead of replacing them.

Save the new one for someone that runs into a guardrail on an on or off ramp.

Here's hoping that any pictures that John posts now are of headlights that look almost new now that they've been repaired.

Maybe's the headlight is OK but it's Critter's eyes that need a detailing.

Elff may be on to something.

I pulled the the lights and use my power drill and a product used to clear them up. I did not take pictures. Well not good ones.

Glad you were able to fix them John. Have spoken to more than a few fellas that have had yellowed headlights and the first thing they do is look at replacing them. As a result the assemblies are getting nearly impossible to find.

Kudos to you John for taking the time to fix them yourself.
