Topic: Norm's Fiberglass Front Splitter

Yesterday, I installed a front splitter made by Norm's Fiberglass.  I have the rest of Norm's body kit for the Solstice, and the splitter brought it all together and looks fantastic.  The fitment is excellent, and it took less than 10 minutes to install.  You use the two stock screws in front of each wheel, and the rest of it sits on the top of bumper and is supported by double sided tape.  It is not going anywhere, as it is on there really well.  The install instructions are really simple.

First, make sure the area where the splitter is being attached is very clean...use a solution that will take all contaminants off, preferably clay. 

Then, remove the bottom two screws in front of each wheel. 

Remove backing on double sided tape (on splitter).

Fit splitter into place, and reinstall the four screws. Enjoy your new splitter!

The gaps are hardly there...the shadow from the sun makes it look larger.

I just wish he made one along those lines for the N/A nose.  I know he makes one, but I like that style much better.

The one he makes for the NA is a little different in design.  I looked at the two and thank goodness I like the GXP design a little better.

This is what I've been looking for.  I didn't know exactly what that area is called but I've smashed mine hitting a curb stop!  So do you order it from Norm then get someone to paint it or can Norm paint it the color of your car first then ship it out?  I looked on his web page the other day and didn't see this so I'll have to look again.  How do you think this would look on a Solstice that is otherwise stock looking on the outside?

Can you take a picture of the side of your car so you can see how the bottom of the front lip is in line with the side skirt.

I put mine on a few weeks back and had the same small gap.  I think the tape just doesn't hold it tight enough.  I'm so anal, I ended up pulling the tape off and running a bead of silicone in there.  I poped out the grills and used those plastic clamps to hold it overnight.  The next day, I took them off and no gap. 

I also want to say the gap was totally acceptable, it is just the thickness of the tape.

Any time...he will paint it for you...it's not on his site, though...you have to call him and order it.

Exactly, the tape needs to be thicker.

Oh...well if the gaps could be fixed then I suppose this is a good piece.  I was thinking the gaps would stay there.   I agree with Lil Goat on the price.
