Obtained a horn kit for the Solstice and added the high-note - a great improvement. The kit can be had at most GM dealers. Takes about 30-45 minutes once you figure out how to attack it, but it is not that difficult. All necessary stuff is supplied (more than you actually need) and just add your ingenuity and some additional wire. However, I did use some special tap-splices I happened to have.
Also added the side-marker 'blinking' mod - makes the marker blink alternately with the parking lite/blinker. Folks can now easily see your intentions as to direction you want to turn as they approach from the side. Install takes about 30 minutes once you have all the stuff.
There are two write-ups on the Pontiac Solstice Forum if you wish to see the details. Look in the 'Mods-Interior/Exterior Functional/Appearance' section.
Have fun!

Glad to hear you upgraded your horn. We added dual air horns, but left the factory low tone horn.
Did your horn come with a bracket?

The horn mod is a "must do" as far as I am concerned. I had my second horn installed in my GXP two days after I had it home.
Just trying to do my part...

Mods: Lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies, Red calipers with black Solstice stickers, Opel GT antenna and Solo GXP-RCD exhaust with a Solo hi-flow cat!

I got the high note then a two trumpet air horn I never put on.
Proceeded to get busy and the next thing I know I'm at DDM for mods  :brnout:

Not that that is done and it is spring I'll see if I wire them to work in tandem as a 3 chime  :D

Would rather have a 5 chime Nathan Locomotive horn  :woohoo:

I did the FIAMM El Grande Twin horn mod last night - SUPER easy - I will post pics tonight, but basically the El Grande set comes with a Low (L) and High (H) horn.  I liked the red back cover and chrome looking grill over the mouth of the horn.

The L horn is the EXACT same as the stock horn - the only diff is the OEM harness connector.  So I took the red back cover off the new one and the grill of the new one and retro fitted it to the stock one with a little exacto magic.  I then jumpered the two posts to the other two posts on the the H horn and reattached the stock harness clip.  Mounted the stock one in its stock position and the new H horn on the opposite side in mirror image fashion.  Wrap it all up with some thin black wire cover and wrap with tape to match the OEM harness - looks stock as can be and super clean!

Nice deep dual hoooonnnnkkkk now!
