I have sent a PM to MRT Performance in regards to setting up a second group buy on "Billet Engine Bay Covers" for those who may have missed the first group buy or who decided to not do it because of a misunderstanding concerning the price. I for one opted out, because of the misunderstanding, and now am sorry that I did. As has been brought up in the original thread, there is a renewed interest in a second "Group Buy". The forum has added many new members since the last group buy and interest has been shown on the former thread. I am calling here for a response from those who might be interested in a 2nd Group Buy, and also a response from MRT Performance.

Hmmm, if there was confusion the first time, how about listing EXACTLY what this is and the price etc. Perhaps if people know exactly what this deal is, they will be less hesitant? Plus we have so many new members, they probably have no clue what this group buy is even for. There you go, another 2 cents from KWhale, totally on the house!

Thanks KWhale for your input. I am waiting for a response from MRZ Performance before going forward with a secure price. I would assume that the price might be close to the first Group Buy but no assurance until we hear back. It is the weekend and no one is at home, so may have to wait until they respond Monday or first of the week.

Anyway, even without a secure price, I am gauging interest here as I said, not asking for a commitment yet, just a drop in the bucket interest!

Any who are interested can go to the first Group Buy and check the price of it there. I don't feel obliged to list it here, because I have no way of presently knowing what it would be until hearing back from MRZ Performance.

This thread is to gauge interest? Please list here if you might be interested if the price is right.

First let me state that I am interested because I was not here at the time of the first group buy on this...

I am typically pretty good at sorting out posts and figuring out information. Lets face it there is 12 pages of posts on the original thread to sort out. I dont want to offend anyone here or upset anyone with this post but I am confused. Here is where I am lost:

- This is a thread to check interest in a possible second group buy... Is that correct? If so, the thread subject of "Official" is confusing... "Possible" would have been a better choice. After reading the posts I was able to sort that out I think thats why I am asking the question. Again I dont want to offend anyone.

- What caps/covers are included in the kit? As I see it, there are 5 caps included.

Windsheild Washer Fluid
Power Steering Fluid
Brake Fluid
Engine Oil
Coolant Tank

Its entirely possible that I missed that in the first thread and if I did, I apologize.

- Pricing seems to be all over the place on the original thread. Seems like there was a base price and then because of options it changed. Understanding that the price "could" increase with the second group buy, what are the price of the options and which options increased the price?

- What were the options. Seems that there where CAP color options and then lettering or graphic color options. I also see that there were options on what were on the caps as far as lettering or graphics at least that is what the post seem to indicate (not sure).

Like I said I am interested. Thanks for helping me sort it all out.

Just finished reading the entire 1ST GROUP BUY on these covers all 12 pages. The caps do look awesome and I am definitely interested in a group buy if MRZ offers us one.

A question to anyone that ordered the ORANGE covers....

Are you happy with the ORANGE and how it matches the car? I am considering BLACK or ORANGE but I want to know if you would have still ordered in orange after receiving them.

I wanted to thank GXPINKC for approaching MRZ about a second group buy. I for one sincerely appreciate it.

No, the orange doesn't match exactly but to me it gives a very nice touch with a shade of orange difference. FYI: The judges (MB corvette club) at MB regional liked them and how well they went with the paint scheme of the car as they also have a hint of gold in the sun.
I was well pleased with the results.
I'll be at MECCA III & MM#5 if you're going perhaps you can see them in person before you order them in orange.

Good to see that you guys love the billet caps we produce and that you are ready for a new group buy. The first group buy was a great success and I'm confident we can get a second group buy running for them.

To get a new group buy started we would need 10 people or sets to give 10% discount on them ($179.95), if we reach 20 sets, we give 15% ($169.95). The normal price is $199.95 on the set of 5 polished billet engine bay covers and they can be color anodized for $40 extra in red, blue, black and orange. So the more set we sell, the better the discount.

I have just updated the list that would be interested in a group buy from our supporting vendor, MRZ - Performance. As of today, there are 8 on the list. This would be the second group buy for MRZ -Performance and if I understand it correctly it is the same price as the original offer.

As I sated before, there was a hiccup on the first group buy in regards to the extra charge for colors. Want to make sure that this point is very clear. I am ordering Red Billet Engine Bay Covers. Therefore the price would be an additional up-charge to me of $40.00. Want to be sure that there is no confusion on this point as there was on the 1st Group Buy.

Well, if my math is correct we now have 8 who have decided to be a part of the 2ND Group Buy. Now is the time to get on board if you have an interest. There are two price points where an additional discout is given by MRZ - Performance. Both price points allow for and additional 10% reduction from the original price.

Well, if you have further questions, please speak up. Let's get the show on the road. I was the one who threw a fit the first time and canceled my order. I am sorry I did, because all those who received theirs really think they are super. I can't wait for mine to arrive for "Miss Red Eagle".
