Part Number help
« on: May 07, 2009, 03:08:59 PM »
Or even what the heck it's called, the little flap that goes up with the top up then covers the hole, it's in the silver trim behind the seats. I have always called them air brakes, but I need to buy a new set for a project, have no clue what to call them.

I think ASAP Tony called them Buttress flaps in his vinyl install video.  But you can tell he just made it up on the spot :)

I just did a quick search and I THINK i found it.

That is the right area and they show everything except the part number for the flap, I have all those parts in a bag as the flap is manual now because of the style bar. I will have to go by the dealer, someone posted they bought them for $19 each but no part number.

Don't show up on parts search though. May only come as an assembly of the "upper panel".

Cool, that is awesome! I have a project with Joe from JPM and now if I can get a set he can just take them back with him from the mod meet. Our goal it to make it so these don't have to be removed when have a style bar and put the top up and down, I am also working on an add on removable petty bar for the style bar so it can be used as a roll bar.

I had one flap that was out of whack and according to the service advisor they had to order the whole assembly. :2c:
