Hi,

My name is Joyce but I go by SallySky. Sally because my car color reminded of "Sally" in the move "Cars". I have an 2008 Sky Redline Bluestone. I have a few mods but nothing that would cause warranty based issues. Done most of them myself but did have the dealer install the CAI and exhaust.  I really want bluetooth so I am thinking about and aftermarket sound system. I would like to do that myself but I am not sure about removing the dash and how difficult that would be.

Cool Sally!  Welcome to the best damned Kappa Forum out there!  Are you going to attend the Maryland Mod Meet next weekend?  LOTS of folks are coming and can share all sorts of ideas - you would get to see different aftermarket sound systems and talk to the guys who installed them.  It will be my first meet too.

Thank you. I may come and spend the day but I am not sure yet. I have been on vacation this week. I think that weekend we have a system upgrade at work and I need to stay close to home.

at 90 miles away you are closer than I am, and DBG is the master of all things dash related, holds the Guinness Book of Records title for fastest dash removal from a Solstice, and Joe from JPM will be there is is the master of both sun and sky interiors.

Yes, no problem.  there is a torqx screw under the sun visor, remove that, then pry down the pillar behind where the visor was and use a standard flat tip screw driver to pry the metal tab free, the do the same for the A pillar.  I can demonstrate this for you at the MM5

Its is amusing, amazing and horrifying all at the same time to watch Joe (a/k/a Deep Blue GXP) attack the interior of a Kappa. 

Using only his mitts, he rips large chunks of plastic away from their clips in record time.  And later, he uses his fists to pop them back into place, neat as you please.  Once in a great while, he uses a tool.

Its something to see.   Welcome to the best Kappa forum on the Interweb.
