Not sure about that, Bob.

Not for SCCA PDX/TT (Performance Driving Experience, basically an instructed track day, and Time Trials, timed laps on a road course, NOT wheel to wheel racing), which has its own rules that are different from the General Club Racing Rules which govern wheel to wheel action.  Time Trials go up to Level 4, with increasing degrees of car preparation required, culminating in old school hillclimbs.

Graywolf's bar, I think, would definitiely get you on the track in PDX, and probably up to Level 2 Time Trials.

Here's a link to an article about WDC SCCA's PDX program:

This opinion is based on my personal participation in the program.

Glad most of you liked the roll bar. Yes I can close the top.  The fit is so close a piece of paper would be difficult to fit between the top and also the same is true about the side panels of the door.  To use your factory seat like I did ,I originally had the shoulder strapes go over the seat.  This felt unsafe so I took the seat to a upholstry shop  to have holes placed for the shoulder strapes. Well there was steel frame work in the way. So the seat frame was cut and re welded .  A better solution is to buy a race seat which weights less . I kept the stock seat because I liked that look.  The shoulder strapes attach to a crossbar on the roll bar. The bar is welded together at all points except to  floor.  The rollbar is bolted to the floor.  Sorry I don't have pictures of the build process.  Also you must have inspection holes drilled in each piece of the bar to measure thickness, these are drilled on the underside so they don't show.  Please go to the gallery for many more pictures under Graywolf.  Putting a rollbar in your car is a huge project on a Solstice. Chassis Concepts did my car in Coal Valley Il. They are not on internet.  They build funny cars and dragsters from scratch.  Expect to pay $1200 to 2000      Graywolf

Height of bar touches the top ,any higher top would not close.
