Couple months ago Chris said it'll be ready by the end of the month, Bill recently said it'll be ready by the end of the 3rd quarter so who knows...

What does this mean for those of us with the Westers tune (uses HP Tuners)? Will he be able to increase our boost with stock sensors?

When you had the DDM intercooler installed did your boost go over 23 and if it did do you ever go into limp home mode?

There's only so much boost the stock turbo can put out, this is mostly for the guys running bigger turbo's.

Not really, our engines are quite resilient to knock.

My Aerofoce gauge sometimes shows 24psi, and I have no limped yet.I just got a new tune for going catless, and the thing is downright nasty!

Next season I am planning to upgrade to westers race tune. I am glad that by that time, he will be able to milk every last ounce of performance with no more limp mode. I may need to upgrade the turbo in the future now that the limp mode may be a thing of the past.......My questions are: With my mods and the stock turbo, will I reap the benefit of no limp mode? Will I be able to keep the stock turbo at the upper limit of its abilities in "PEAK" wot situations just long enough to shift at high rpm without "melting" the bearings?

Will this "crack" work with the stock sensors or do I need the GM sensor upgrade first?

....Westers, as there race tune stands now, will increase my performance more than my current BSR tune, but I wonder if the NO MORE LIMP MODE will offer modded cars with the stock turbo any advantage.

Lyndon has obtained some HUGE results with the GMPP kit but runs into the limp mode issue or KR, he should be able to resolve at least some of this if HPT comes through. He has a very good relationship with Bill from HPT. I am still making good power up to 7000 rpm, not max power but more than the peak HP of the stock tune, in the 230 - 240 range. This little turbo has some punch left.

Hey guys. I'm anxiously awaiting the new beta with overboost control. My plan (before upgrading the turbo) is to run 26-28 PSI from 2500-5000rpm or so for massive torque, and then slide down to 22PSI by redline. The car currently has a water/methanol injection kit and its running great. Most recently i've seen ~29lbs/min VE airflow @ 22psi. Those of you who have kept up with BaldTurboFreaks adventures know that this fairly closely approximates whp, just add a zero

That is the reason I went with the Larger wheel Turbo from BaldTurboFreak, this upgrade can certainly do the higher PSI's.
It has an air flow of 43lbs/min as per BaldTurboFreak.

43lbs/min?? really?? that sounds high - sounds like gt30r territory. I thought it was more like 38lbs/min.

Aside - the MAF reading is useful, but the VE airflow calculation has been shown to closely approximate whp - just add a zero.

A guy on the sky side he gained 24whp with a meth injection. He had a local tuner dyno tune it on top of his Westers+GMPP tune.

Just an opinion but I think before meth a larger intercooler is a good idea, the cooler the air hitting the meth injection is the better it works, it's all about the cooling. Then figure out where you want the sprayer, Pre MAP is best if you can get it far enough up stream to be vaporized when it hits the MAP. This way the MAP will see the cooler denser charge and advance the timing automatically. On our cars most mount the spray post MAP, it's easier and then adjust the timing in the tune. Done right this can add as much as 35 hp and actually improve gas millage. I really really looked into this and it was just to much trouble on a daily driver to me. If you want to drag race it is certainly the way to go and it will even clean your combustion chambers.

Meth is often used in place of intercooler and in some ways is more effective but they work best in tandem. The DDM solution offers something no one else does and that is completely different intercooler tubes they are straightened and are more direct this may have an effect of reduced pressure drop, knowing Dr. Love that was most likely his goal. I know there intercooler is built by Griffin, maybe one of the best IC makers around. Any IC will help but some are better than others, I think the little RPI is very well designed all be it smaller than most, never heard a complaint about the Hahn but I think it is on the border of to big for our cars, until you get a bigger turbo. Lyndon likes the Dejon and has one in his wife's car.

When BaldTurboFreak was doing his test he said the standard K04 turbo was 34lbs\min and the larger wheel was about 43lbs\min.
I do not know if he reads this forum, and can comment on it.

Do you have dash hawk or HPTuners to measure the MAF airflow? Thats an easy enough way to verify. The 34lbs/min stock sounds dead on, but 43 for the compressor upgrade is huge
