If anyone wants we can go on a short run after the dyno, same one Jonymac and I did the other day except backwards. It was a nice run.

HP Tuners gives you the commanded AFR, the sniffer in the pipe gives you the real deal.

Hptuners reads the wideband too.

It won't if he won't let me in the room to do the scan, we don't know this shop at all yet. I love HPT but still don't trust the scanner completely, I know Lyndon and others have found wrong readings on scans in the past, I doubt it is HPT's fault that had to write an app that works with many many different sensors. I will pay for the AFR read out plotted against rpm's, very useful tool. I know he uses a Dyno Dynamics AWD setup but no idea what compensation he uses, if any. I may ask him to run in Dyno shootout mode, locks the dyno to factory setup no operator modifications. We will see when we get there.

Might not get to changing the oil today, we'll see.

I have to admit though, not being able to be in the room when the car gets dynoed is disappointing. Was hoping to get some video with good sound...

Yep, I certainly will. Not sure if I'll make it in time for breakfast, going to try and catch up on some sleep. I don't think I'll have any problems finding Goat or Critter's cars.

We are hanging on the edge until we here the results.  My wife went along to the barber shop in Miss Red Eagle while I got my hair cut short so now less drag with wind-resistance!  Can't wait to find out how your dyno's turn out.  Hope you find that you have less drag as well.

This was very different dyno, he warned up upfront he uses no compensation, and the way his dyno is setup he always has the lowest numbers around. I will not post others sheets, my best run was 251.9 I had the highest. Most people run on DynoJets. so to roughly equate to a DynoJet it would be X 1.22 or 307 on the HP and 351 on the TQ. It was a hot muggy day, lousy day to go on a dyno. First graph is HP vs TQ. Second is HP vs AFR. U-238 was there as our baseline, he is stock his numbers were pretty low too. Very nice dyno, and we got some good data to send to Lyndon. His new SS tune makes almost exactly the same HP as the Race tune 5.2, but the curves are very different. This was the first data Lyndon has gotten on a 2007 car with the new tune.

Can you Post U-238's numbers so we can see the difference?

Also, how did you determine as a correction factor?

Lil goat, thanks for your fast reply about the dyno sheet. Would be great if we can compare with Uranium's sheet.

Nope that is for him to do, he may not be home yet. I am sure he will post them soon, or tell me to. Just my thing not to post others numbers, that would be there decision.  The numbers don't reall matter the AFR and the curve ar what is important, I will say the GMMP from Lyndon needs some tweaking, but that's why we did this. Lyndon has a 2008 and 2009 , totally different software and we have learned that what works on a 2008 may not work on a 2007

Actually it's very important
We know Uranium's sky is supposed to have 260hp at the crank.
Knowing what the dyno showed will give us the mathematical calculation we need to get some accurate comparisons.

I don't think your 1.22 correction factor is on.
If it is, then Uranium should only have 200 hp for his results.

Ok, sorry for the wait. Had some really crappy weather to slog my way through. Can you say 5-hour drive home? 95 was at a crawl/dead stop. Ended up pulling off at a Hardees to wait out the torrential rain, only to be greeted by still stopped traffic after it eased.  :gaah: Ended up working my way through the back roads.

I'll post the graphs as soon as Goat gets me the files.

Anyway, the moment you've all ben waiting for:

Max HP was 211.4
Max Torque was 212.5

I haven't scanned mine yet but I was low man on the totem pole as always.   I did make more noise than everyone else.  :)   Sound proof room but the whine of the SC came throught the walls.

218.1 hp
241.2 tq

that comes out to 266 hp and 294.3 tq

lil goat can you tell us who is the winner with most hp of the day?
Which version proved to have higher numbers? GMMP or SS?

I'm thinking to contribute and go to a dyno in my country (two new great dynos were opened in the last months), I know one is mustang and the other one is V-Tech. Which one? :D (the price is same)

So we have an accurate conversion now and Lil Goat was very close, actually a bit on the conservative side
211.4/260=.813
1/.813 = 1.2298959
That's a brutal Dyno.

So then if we take the 290hp and 340tq that the LNF tune states as accurate, on that Dyno We should see numbers of
GMPP
235.77 hp
276.42 tq

Lil Goats
251.9 hp
287.6 tq

Difference of
16.13 hp
11.18 tq
