Hey all, i made up my mind, i want to go Solo too! glad to know that another Opel GT (Kelu) also chose this solution!
i already pm'ed Spiky3480 and waiting for his answer but i would appreciate your opinions too.
i like it loud (but not annoyingly loud), quad tips and with the most benefit in hp until i decide for a tune.
i suppose my first choice for my Opel GT is Street race and catalyst converter. it is very important for me not to have engine light turned on (because of the catalyst). i am willing not to have much power rather than facing this yellow engine light while driving.
pls reply with your experience and opinion!

With Solo's added O2 sensor extension bung, you won't have an issue with any engine codes or lights. The street race with high flow cat sounds like an outboard boat motor running. It may be difficult to hold a conversation at 60mph. I have the Mach short and high flow and I love the sound/burble and power...

Hey Arabus...I responded to your PM with an email to the address you sent me. I recommended exactly what deepbluegxp just said...the Mach Shorty and converter, as the Street Race/converter combination will be very loud and probably get you pulled over in Greece, where the noise restrictions are really harsh.

Listen the guys' advices, you can't go wrong using this path

- You want no cel, that's done by the quality of the product, why do you think everyone recommend Solo, nobody loves CELs

- You want loud but not annoyingly loud, Street Race is nearly annoyingly for a daily driver like yours as DeepBlueGXP described, so forget Street Race if you drive your car most of the time on streets and not on track
- You want hp, as far as I know there is not too much difference between Mach Shorty and Mach as cat-backs, the biggest hp increase comes from cat so go for high flow cat for hp
- Prepare for a tune

i suppose what Kelu says is true, we greeks are nuts...but we are sane enough to consult our women before doing anything crazy.! lol... so i had my woman read your comments and she kinda decided for me: mach shorty quad tips + converter... she likes me to be able to hear her when she talks!!

Converter, what the hell is that George? Are you referring to Hi Flow or Free Flow Cat?

Looks like greek women know better about cars than greek men

Kelu, yes he means the high flow cat...it's called a catalytic converter, but most people just call it a cat for short, or a converter for short.

old greek folks have a saying: in a relationship, men are the head and women are the neck...so they always turn the head where they want to.. lol... i suppose that s my case! i m lucky that my woman knows from cars and racing, her father is a racer and he even raced at Acropolis rally.
anyway, here it is: Mach shorty quad tips and HF cat (or a dog? don t know Kelu, help me out here..lol!)

I have the Solo Mach with the hi-flow cat. If your just crusing, you should be able to hear your girlfriend or wife. However, if you get tire of listening to her, just put your foot in it and you will not be able to hear her until you back off the throtle.

Arabas - I second what GaryH just said. I went with the high flo cat and the Mach exhaust. I like the sound at idle

at cruising (120 kms/hr)

and especially like the sound when driving it hard

PS - It has also passed the wife test, and has officially been approved by her after an 11 hour road trip. And we all know the wife approval is the most important part.

i suppose i gave her all the input i could..i had an Audi TT MTM, so she kinda had an impression of how deep the sound will be. her father has an EVO VIII with a cat back system, so i suppose she has similar sound in her mind.
the question is will cat back and hf cat give any hp to my GT? (i don t have a tune)

I received my mach shorty and HF cat today. that was fast..just 4 days and no customs expenses!!!

next i have to succesfully put it on my car and have no DAMN CEL. can t wait to hear the sound of this sick thing!!!!!!

Relax, remember I have catless downpipe which is harder to get fixed and I have no CEL.

Damn you, I lost 4 days only to take my exhaust out from the customs office after huge hustling.
What option you used for customs? Gift or low customs value?
I was using gift and the moron officer didn't want to release them as gift because he said "they look too expensive to I consider them gift, i want invoice".

I will tell you in 4 days what you are missing.

i was expecting a delay, but i was surprised to see it stayed in the customs for half an hour....

Yup everything is there...just have your mechanic follow the directions carefully and all will be well. Make sure to check for leaks before you drop the car back to the ground.

OK, will have the instructions with me and look for leaks. i will have it welded.
what about what my friend Kelu said that is missing. i compared his pics to mine and i saw my tips are already welded to the muffler. so, i suppose everything is OK, right?

Well Kelu,
Technically it was a gift since in the same package came your SKY Cooler\travel bag.
So you could have gone to the forum and pointed to the custom inspector that indeed it was a gift.
