So Chuck, has Nancy bought off on your retirement plans?  Who will you go with? DDM?

When I retire, I am going to see if DDM will give me a good price on LS2, New Drive train to include conversion to a manual shift.

Looking for 450+ HP

Oh Yeah, Nancy does not know my plan.

Dave, Randy?

Mallett won't do an auto to manual trans conversion. Must be something there that's complicated.

Oh, because of your TCM wiring above the ECM, than may be a thorn in your side.

I love the V8 Solstice and Sky.  They sound awesome, especially the boosted ones from Mallett....they have way too much power for our little roadster, but they sound amazing!

Chuck,  Sounds like you may need to buy another one for the conversion, since you are going to put a V8 in it anyway, maybe a wicket 2.4?

We are working on something for the LS engine right now, but it would put you over the 450hp power mark ;)

Will you have the cruise control worked out?  Will chuck be able to swap out to a manual from an auto?

West Va. Wade has the cruise control fixed, not sure he can do the auto and he is just a little pricey. With GM prices what they are you could almost buy a Corvette donor car.

Wade does have the cruise control worked out.  However, you have to use his wiring harness and the stock Solstice computer for it to work.  This leaves out my car and all the conversions done by PAW.  I don't know which computer Mallet uses in his.  If he uses the stock Sol computer, then they might be able to use the cruise in their conversion too, with Wades help.

I'll be interested to see what DDM comes up with for the LS2.  However, my car already has  so much power it'll spin the wheels at will and I'm running drag radials.  I am going to have CCW make me a set of custom wheels, I'm just waiting till next year before I have that done.  I want to do 18x10 in the rear and 18x9 in the front.  I am planning on running Nitto 555R drag radials.  Once I do that, depending on how the car hooks up, will determine If I do anymore engine mods.  If I add HP right now, it will just spin em faster.  Thats why I get a chuckle out of the guys pushing over 400 to the wheels, I know the car will never put it down.

Do you have any Dyno Sheets you can post here?
What are you missing for the cruise control, is their something that can be wired in?

The economy must be real bad if someone can afford to buy a Mallett Solstice and then has to sell it.  Sad news:(

I haven't stuck it on the dyno yet.  I probably won't till I get the new wheels.  I have a laundry list of things to do to the car.  Money isn't flowing in like it used too.

as for the cruise, i can buy Wade's harness and hook it up.  If I do that, it will cost me atleast $4000.  Just his harness is, $2000.

Mallett uses the Sol ECM.  But, they still do not have the cruise control working on the five speed cars.

So, who is Wade, and how do I get in touch with him?  I would love to get the cruise working on the Mallett.

Hi Yamatr3,

Sorry to use this old thread, but to confirm, you have a v8 Solstice right?  Can you share your 1/4 Mile times with this?  I am wondering how much difference we would expect a V8 Solstice to produce on the track.

The Diamondback Solstice is pretty darn nice!!  I know what DDM is working on, but I can not say.  It will definitely put you over 450hp, and sound real good in the process.  Sit tight and see if they can get it done and all worked out.  I know I will be keeping my eyes peeled.

Good plan!

Remember I traded in my NA for the GXP and forgot to tell her.  She was only mad for a couple of years when she found out.

This should be easier.
