I will assume that anyone that owns a Kappa and hangs around on this site is an enthusiast, and either has this book already, or has thought of buying it.

Amazon.com: The Pontiac Solstice Book (9780932128133): Gary Witzenburg: BooksI received it recently and have now given it a couple of reads and I am well plesed by it - not surprising as the author, Gary Witzenburg also wrote the definitive Fiero history, which I also own.
The difference is that he wrote that book and updated it after the model ceased, to include all the really interesting data like total production numbers opf each type and year, what the availabel options were and how many cars were ordered with each, colours, etc. He had the advantage of access to GM records following the end of production.
Now that Pontiac division is no more, I have concerns about future availability of similar data for the Solstice/Sky. I contacted the publisher and discussed the possibility of an update to the end of poroduction, and he seemed receptive, offering that the most economical way to do that might be a CD or DVD with the added material, that people could attach to the inside cover of their copy of the book (or if you are a book nut like me, print out in colour and place behind tha back cover).
If this is ever to happen, it requires the cooperation of the author, access to GM records before they go away or becoem inaccessible, and a show of interest on the part of the buying public to show that it is worthwhile for the publisher to pursue this project.
I am going to post this on eth Solstice, Kappa and Saturn sites in the hopes that some show of enthusiasm might reach the publisher at

I have no idea how much this would cost, but I would certainly be willing to pony up $15 or $20 bucks for 'the rest fo the story'.
