Topic: Motorized License Plate- Modified for Lowered GXP

I got nabbed on Sunday for driving without a front license plate. I'm in Ontario. I had washed my car and forgot to put it on and took a ride out to my brothers in the next town...Brampton for those in the area... got nabbed by a "squad" of OPP perched on the on ramp from the 410 to the 407. He didn't buy my excuse and gave me a $110 ticket.

I run front plates on all my stuff (except one special collector car plate that is transferable which only has a rear) except this one - if you can tell me where to mount it without blocking 1/3 of the rad opening, I'll put it on.....doesn't make much sense to me to attach it under the opening as you couldn't see it anyway.



Had even more fun with an old Triumph TR-2 I used to own - no bumpers, so finally hung it off the front sway bar with a couple of hose clamps.  Obvisously should have moved it to the horizontal high performance position for this track session!

I am likely moving to Ontario in the next year and will have to display a front plate Does anyone know if there a way to wire this to the ignition so it pops up when you turn the engine on and hides itself when you switch off?

Should be pretty simple. I'm not sure how the device retractible plate works, is it a toggle switch or momentary switch.  If it is a toggle, then install a 2 relays, one for plate up using the accessories circuit to control the plate.  second for plate down on batt power.   Key on, plate up, key off, retract.

The button on the remote must be pushed and held down until the plate is fully retracted. Same for the other direction.
