JPM Goodies
« on: October 21, 2009, 11:45:41 AM »
Just received some new goodies from JPM. (thanks Joe & Alex)  I will be installing my new auto shifter, center console and OS handle this weekend.  Does anyone have any tips or tricks for these installs.  Looks like it should be pretty straight forward but it seems like I have heard something about the OS handle.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  (New matching seat covers to follow.  Should arrive just in time for an early Christmas present)

The OS handle is easly to take on and off.  Pop the little cover off the back side and use a 10mm or a 7mm (can't remeber) and wiggle it out.  that should be it.  Can't wait to see pictures.

Keep those boys busy, I am sure you will have no issue with the OS handle pretty straight forward.

Thanks for supporting JPM!!!

What is your ride?  Solstice or Sky? You can add the info to your profile by clicking here. and scroll to the bottom.  My Ride:________  http://kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=191;sa=forumProfile

Center console is removed by raising the e-brake and lifting the rear of the cosole first, then slide aft and lift up and over the handle.  Reverse to install.

I can only speak for the solstice. and only   The OS handle has a small cover that you can use a standard screwdriver on the front lip to remove.  Then there are two 10mm bolts.  Takes a tilt back action to remove.

As for the auto boot, stick the shifter in I,  grab the stock material and pull up on the front and get your fingers under the chrome ring.  The ring has a large space opening on the front and rear of it on the bottom.  Note the groves in the dash on the front and rear as that is the alignment parts.  Use a standard screwdriver to separate the ring from the indicater plate.  There is a tiny c clip you have to remove to pull off the shift.  DO NOT LOOSE IT.

Perhaps Spicy can add more since I don't know the rest of the auto.

<sigh> every time I come to this site my wallet gets thinner.

Those pieces looks GREAT!

I shot them a note to see if they have stitching / fabrics to mate well with my hydro blue.  Given the production numbers I'm not too hopeful (and can't bankroll a full custom job), but never hurts to ask.
Your highly detailed mods signature, while impressive, really really screws up Google & site searches.

Call them, they can special order materials.  I had a dark blue alcantara ordered for my car and Wicked color for my wife's coupe.

The stitiching shouldn't be too hard to get a color to match.  They had a green to match the TJIN green for mine.

OK.  Male with new toys.  Couldn't wait till this weekend so I installed everything after diner tonite.  This is part 1 of my new JPM interior.  Part 2 - seat covers - have been ordered.  Part 3 will be door panels and steering wheel.  I'm waiting on the door panels because I'm still kicking around ideas.  Joe gave me several good suggestions.  He also recommended getting ideas and pics from forum members.  He specifically mentioned lil goats interior.  lil goat, do you have any pics posted that I could take a look at?  Thanks everyone for the installation advice.
