Another 40 lbs in weight savings.  $400 for the pair from *bay.  I just added 1/2" think piece of aluminum to the brackets the seats come with and rebolted the seatbelts and transferred passenger seat airbag sensor. The width leaves the center storage bin barely accessible and the seat just touches the door when closed.

Norm, how comfortable are they?  Forty pounds is not a bad weight savings at all.

Yeah any seat with the shoulder stuff will block that. My kirkeys do the same thing, but they sit a little lower than these.

Gave it an elevated ride to the dealer, no news yet, on the diagnosis. My guess is alternator. Dead as dead, barely enough juice to get the window rolled back up. Also asked them to check out the VSS issue, and the front O2 sensor. I can only guess on what else they'll find wrong

I had an alternator replaced in my Redline. Lights started going dim while driving on the highway and got all kinds of funky messages on the dash. Scared the crap outta me.

had 20k miles at the time. Only extra draw is a Radar detector and iPhone charger on fuse 18.

Seems soon for an alternator.  Has anyone else had to have it replaced?  or is this just a one off?  I assume it was all covered?

Well, mine isn't the alternator-said "there's a "HUGE draw" on the battery, could be those lights you put under the dash <note: 2 small led lights that are not on when key is off> and all the other extra stuff <note: windrestrictor, off w/o lights, garmin mount, off w/o garmin>, so I've got to put on a monitor overnight to see if we can find what the draw is coming from. And it's thrown a TON of codes, <note: P0131 & P138, O2 #1, and P0502 and P0503, VSS>."

I drove Reed's instead of mine :)

He even let me keep it overnight. He said something about washing it but I wasn't really listening.
Thank you Reed  :yay:

My dashhawk draws power.  If I leave the car for over a week with it plugged in, it may not start, battery will be dead.

I know you don't leave your car sitting that long...

It does sound like a short, maybe one of the wires is pinched or chaffed.  Is all the add ons fused seperately?  if so you could pull the fuse on each and see what happens over night.

My dashhawk draws power.  If I leave the car for over a week with it plugged in, it may not start, battery will be dead.

This has been discussed on the dashhawk forums before, the newest firmware(2.5 i think) has the least power draw when its off, nothing you can really do about it but to disconnect it.

Exactly Shabby, if it is going to sit, you have to disconnect.

:yay: I love you too Critter  :yay:  Is it okay if everyone knows now?  ;)

I stopped by on Friday and the new one hadn't come in yet. I did ask the question on the deal with the damage and I was told that it seems that GM sent the first one damaged because there was no damage to the packaging. The second one not so sure about. Apparently some body shops accept them damaged and just ask for money off to fix them themselves rather than sending  them back. My guy refuses the damaged ones or sends them back. He says there is no reason to accept a damaged hood.

In case anyone is wondering he used to be best friends with my brother and I was best friends with his until he passed, so yeah, I trust his judgement completely.

It's okay though, Reed gave me his for the past two days!  :urock:  I told him not to worry and that I was being very careful
