Happy Bday to your wife spf50!!

well, last night after installing my new IC, i uploaded my new tune and went for datalog.
in my first run, from 2nd gear rolling and going WOT in all gears everything seemed fine.

then, as i had my eyes on the road, all the sudden i saw a yellow light on my dashboard and i thought to my self "$hit, CEL".
then i looked at the yellow light and the message on the dic ...... "trunk ajar" with 160km/hour  :o :o :o
looked in the rearviewmirror, the trunk was closed. slammed on the brakes and stopped at the nearset parking lot.
trunk had popped half an inch.

flashback: while my car was on the lift, i popped the trunk and put the factory IC and pipes in, then closed it. but it appears that when the car is on the lift, it gets flexed and probably the trunk didn't close properly
thank God, no injury or damage was done! so people, when car is on the lift DO NOT close or open the trunk.

car runs better now, no surge in 3rd gear, only just a little bit on 4th and 5th gear when going WOT from low rpms..   :yay:

Can look on the bright side. If your rear trunk did pop open at 160Kmph. If would be one hell of air brake, like some fighter jets have. :poke: That's if it holds together  ;)

Arabas: this remembers me about one of my races, after working something under the hood, I put myself to the starting line without noticing I have the hood open, launched the car and I saw that the hood is shaking pretty hard and I thought the surface of the track is bad   after the 3rd gear the hood started to rise  :gaah: I thought on high speeds the air will push on it keep it closed but nooo, it was rising like a sailing, I started to brake thinking that will make the hood to come back to closing position but nooo, because the front of the car was lowering on braking the hood still didn't come back  :gaah:

No damages or any other problems  :D
Filming my face could end having a nice video, but I did't had any camera inside my car

we can laugh about these now Kelu, since no damage or injury was done, but it's pretty scary when it happens and extremely dangerous...

A certain owner of a silver solstice that is DDM supercharged had a strange run down the drag strip too.  Half way down he noticed the convertible top not latched and started to lift, grabbed it half way down the track.

Looking good, Hal!

I took mine in for an estimate - $987.05

And you can't really tell anything was done to it.

My hood was not latched on the racetrack once. I guess my speeds were high enough that it kept it down. Did at least one full lap with it this way. No damage.

Prayed over it, hoping the shop (after 3 weeks+) will find the cause of my random misfires and fix it. :)
I'd rather be driving! :D
