Anyone think about murdering their Kappa? I think the Solstice might look ok with the muted look.

I'm working on blacking mine out, but there's no way I'd go with flat black for anything other than a possible stripe or two.

Yesterday:::

Did the wash, clay bar, wash, polish, glaze, and sealant.

Today:::

Waxed the car, 2 coats, then noticed a horrible spot int he paint which immediately I thought I screwed it all up (middle of drivers door).

After some research and some SSR 2.5 and polsih, realized it was a bad touch-up done on the door with that crappy dealership touch-up paint...

A little more polishing and now all is well again, for the most part.

Man, now I really can't wait to get that SC on there.... it's too damn quiet under the hood now!   :banghead:

You could install GJ under the hood.  With him under there there is no way it would be too damn quiet.

There's an idea, could that be considered a form of methanol injection?  :lol:
Maybe then I wouldn't need a supercharger! OK, how much do you think it would cost to get him installed? Guess I better call Dave & tell him to cancel the stage II.

-Painted the engine good liner since likes to collect all colors of dirt. Gloss black engine paint have it a nice deep, clean black with a hint of gloss.
-Painted the hood louvers(Sky) since the previous owner had installed Saturn Motorsports version. It looks good on yellow car.
-Wrapped the turbo manifold and exhait housing. The Hahn manifold has coating but no shield. I looked heat shield from Hahn that attached to the head and covered just about everything, $250 for a very nice piece; $100 for turbo exhaust blanket; settled for $50 2" header wrap. Figured there is not metal shields to heat up! It spools up really quick now. I've wrapped the down pipe but not the cat...should I go any further?

Installed new JPM seat covers on Dee's Coupe and my Vert, finished last night around 11pm.  DarkTech worked on the hood and front bumber with the buffer to get the white paint spots off.

Joe,
You better get busy, people are going to be showing up at your front door in about 24 hours.........

I actually pulled the cover off of mine and drove to work.  Wanted to see if I needed to wash it before tomorrow since it hasn't been done since February and decided it didn't need cleaning. :)

 :ttiwwpic2:

Oh, and claybar to take that overspray off... would have bee a lot easier than the buffer I think. The overspray is sitting on top, and the clay should have pulled most of it right off with a couple passes.

Clay bar didn't work, buffing with 2.0 still didn't all of it off.    I'll take a photo tonight when I get off work.

Alright, cool. As long as you tried the clay first. Ya, sometimes stuff gets stubborn and you just need to step up the compounds. That's why I have 5 or 6 different levels on my shelf... ;)
