Not a bug.  Definitely a bird.  No idea what kind.  I didn't see the bird at all - didn't notice anything till I got back to my computer.

Well it's obviously a hummingbird...but besides that I have no idea. You guys in Texas have all sorts of crazy birds that we don't have around here.

Put some refrigerant into my A/C and promptly watched it all exit in a mist/fog from somewhere between the engline and the firewall! I have heard of people getting holes in the A/C line in about that location so I guess I will take it in and get some warranty work done. Looking like that extended warranty may pay for itself yet!

Well I didn't do as much as someone you did this weekend that is for sure, I only pushed the lawnmower past the car as I was getting ready to mow.  Next time I will be sure to take pictures.

Did this run on Mother's Day:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyBDUFVsIRs

It's in 1080p and 8 minutes long, so you may want to click on it, pause it, and let it finish downloading while you detail your car (or, if your Critter, finish supervising that guy cutting your grass)...

Nice to see a foreign country where they drive on the "correct" side of the road!   The last time I was in Korea was around 2003 or so just before I retired.   :usa:  Never had the chance to get out and explore the country though. Usually went to Osan and was only there over night on trash hauling missions unless we broke but then we didn't have access to transportation...   :drive:

I can't get out as much as I want, I'm the only medical provider on base so I have to be sort of close if something happens.  It is nice to run around the countryside as fast as I'm comfortable since there are virtually no cops around...

Oh, I got my radar detector last week.  The main speed enforcement here is speed cameras.  Turns out that 95% of them arent working.  its funny to see everyone slow down for the camera as I drive on by.  Some of them even drive in the on-coming traffic lane to avoid the cameras.  Its no wonder the mortality rate from vehicle accidents is so high here!

So, as a brief sidetrack to educate the 'colonials', I present this brief history: http://users.telenet.be/worldstandards/driving%20on%20the%20left.htm#history

Plus, this interesting quote from the above page:

If you are planning to visit the UK and happen to come from one of the many countries that drive on the wrong side of the road, the following advice, direct from the Ministry of Transport, is for you:

“Visitors are informed that in the United Kingdom traffic drives on the left-hand side of the road. In the interests of safety, you are advised to practise this in your country of origin for a week or two before driving in the UK.”

Looks like you managed to scare most of the traffic off the road already!   And it seems you have mastered the "pass on single yellow line" as well.  Looks like you got behind a car in the best part of the road.

PS I miss you my car needs cleaning

I swear officer I was just practicing!     When we lived in Japan it surprised us how easy it was to adapt to driving the "wrong" way. It was even wierder after moving to Alaska and relearning the "right" way.   :D

It's not a heavily trafficked road and most people pull over to let you by but on the way back I got stuck behind a guy driving at what he must have thought was breakneck speed by the way he was crossing the road at every left hand curve.  The only opportunity that I had to pass him would have resulted in taking out an old lady bent almost in half from osteoporosis...

p.s. if you'd stop letting Jorge' so close to it as he weed-eating your entire yard, maybe the car wouldn't need cleaning!

I saw a different pic of you, about a 3/4 view from the driver's side front.  Your helmet looked great!  It was a part of the daily updates, where the pics are strung together . . .

EDIT: I must have been wrong, or he changed the published pic . . .  :idk:

I tried to find all the pics I liked and created an album on his site.
http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/ViewAlbum.aspx?a=803677

I really like the above pic and think I will contribute to keeping KB employed and buy a nice print.
I unfortunately couldn't find the group that pic came from.

I actually didn't bring the helmet to wear on the Dragon, but on hellbender, when I adjusted my glasses, they freaking broke. So I put the helmet on in the store parking lot at Deals Gap.

I think he liked your helmet, I have never seen that many pictures of a car on his site before.   By the way, the first link you are there for a second and then become a bike.

WanderingSol got a pedicure last week.  Checkout

http://www.wanderingsol.comule.com/pedicure.html

to see a few pictures.  Alas the flash once again makes things look orange when they are really red.  The tires also appear shiny in the pictures, but not in real life.  I used Surf City's Beyond Black on the tires and it makes them look like new, but not glossy.

Either way I don't think it's a duck or a goose unless those micromachine people have started doing genetic research on water fowl.

We had those in Florida, or something very similar, and they are very good at mimicking a hummingbird.

I though it was a reflection off the finish of the car. Other then that it looks like a hummingbird .

Tim,
Next time you have the wheels off clean and spray the top hat as well.  There are some good heat resistant paints out there.  It will get rid of the rest of the rust our hubs love to gather.  They look good now but will look great when you have the rest of the rust gone.
