Watch (supervised) Joe and Joey while they cut and hacked away at the front of my car.  Learned some new words as well.  Shame on you Joey

We decided not to do a DYI, it is extremely difficult.  Getting the old off, and finally putting the new cover on were the easy parts.  It was the 3 hours of cutting, trimming, and fitment that was a killer.  We also didn't think about a camera until it was too late, we were not going to put it back on at that point.

PM me your phone number and I will send you a pick, I have one one my phone.

cruising at 62 on cruise, ambient and intake were identical.  Intake used to be 2 degrees warmer.

IBDRINKEN, check your fuses, I think there is a fuse and/or a relay that controlls the clutch to engage the a/c compressor.

Thats the first thing I did was check the 10a fuse and it was good to go. There is a bigger fuse that is the ac clutch fuse as you stated so I guess I will just replace that one and go from there.

Welded on a set of clean painted exhaust tips.

Old

Dropped

Sitting on a jack stand

Removed tip

New tip on

Complete

I know the left one is off a bit, but no more than stock, and they look great!

Let's see how they hold up? I am having the others powder coated silver just in case.

Total time about an hour, and that was because I suck at welding.

Installed dual exhaust on the coupe. :brnout:

Installing Norms F430 front bumper and rear finned diffuser on the vert. Pics to follow when completed!!! :drive:
Which exhaust did you put on the coupe?

my ac stopped blowing cold today so Im thinking its out which is weird since I only have 40,000 miles on it...

Does it come on when you put the dial on defrost?

Did you try the AC recalibration?
Welded on a set of clean painted exhaust tips.

Painted?  I thought you were getting them chromed?  I don't think the paint will hold up to the harsh environment of the exhaust gases and heat.

They wanted $85 each for chrome. I just couldn't justify that. I have the other ones ready to be powder coated. I agree, they likely wont hold up, but I couldn't resist installing them. It is super easy to drop the exhaust, and I only tack welded these on so I can remove them again prety easily!

Jim

PS Anyone know a place to get chrome at a "reasonable" price?

Norms GXP spoiler won't fit on a NA

Yeah I know DBG, but I don’t care for the mini-winglet style of the NA .  The GXP air dam looks is such a cleaner design which is why I’ve been thinking of picking up a GXP fascia.

Penny for your thoughts....  anyone think a wider but definitely not 'taller' lip spoiler would look good on the Sky?  Maybe similar to the whale-tail on the Crossfire SRT-6 that is has a flat-profile, but wider and more functional for downforce?
anyone prolific with photoshop?

Unless you have access to a wind tunnel who knows, in fact does anyone know if it's purely cosmetic or performance?

From experience (well Joe's experience, I supervised :)) if you decide to go that route (GXP facia) make sure you get everything behind the facia cover as well, all the supports, crush material, and shrowding.  The facia will not fit over the NA structure without it.

OK, thanks Critter because I thought it was nothing more than a remove & install, though I knew I'd have to pick up the GXP turn/running light grill.   Anyone know of a thread dedicated to it off-hand?

Far from it Chop. A lot of the parts you need are very hard to get if not impossible. Been there for 7 months.
