Put on my new black door handles.  However in the sunlight they have a grayish look to them and I will probably take 'em off and paint then.  These are the new ones with the reinforced threaded holes and I hope they will outlast the car.

Please make a separate thread about the oval event. Be careful with the high G's could have problems with oil since we don't have dry sump.

Now there's a question...how troublesome would a dry sump system be to install?

It would be no trouble for me at all if you were to install this on your car.  What do you think Critter, want to supervise this one with me?

After running on multiple tracks and not having any problems, I think this is not a concern for the Solstice.

I have to agree with the above, I do not think the Solstice 2.0 motor at full capacity will have a problem.

Had a hankering for a hot dog, so I drove out to a place, but it was closed. So I drove some more up to Pete's. They were good. Went home and washed and dried the car. Ran my hand over it, clay bared her, then washed and dried again. Waxed her, cleaned under the hood and the trunk. Next I cleaned the interior, then went down to get gas and vacuum her. Noticed I forgot to do the glass. Just washed the windshield, had enough cleaning for the day. Time to enjoy, drove my daughter out to the campus her summer class is at and found the building. Then to dinner and home to relax. Great day for all this, but I'm pooped and it's late, so good night.

Sure thing Kelu.
First thing I did was pop off the little panel behind inside door handle.  This will reveal a small Phillips head screw.  Remove the screw and then move to the aft end of the door panel and you will see another Phillips head screw.  After these are off you need to remove the plastic piece behind the hand/door pull (it prys off).  When its removed you will see two hex head screws.  I think they were 7mm.  Next, carefully pry the door panel away from the door and lift it off the door lock knob.  I did not disconnect any of the wire harnesses or lock cables but you may want to.  If your window is still down you will need to put it up to gain access to the 3 hex screws holding the door handle in place.  They are 10mm and you can see them pretty easily with a flashlight.  I think that is about it!  Good luck.

Brazen17: Thank you, I removed the door panel already 2 times, it's a easy and fast process, the door handle taking off and on is what I'm scared of.

Nah, it's just the three screws and your done.  Hardest part for me was reattaching the inside door handle cable.  Now I just got to figure out how the inside handles come off so I can paint them!  Looks like the assembly itself is attached by some kind of "melt the plastic stud" method instead of screws or nuts.   :idk:

Yup, it's plastic welded... There's a thread on the BB where someone took it apart.

I got back from Fontana Village last night at 10pm.
[This is why I wasn't at the mod meet. We were at the Dragon all week]
Today, I spent about 5hrs cleaning, clay barring and waxing the Sky.
I swear it looks better than the day I got it from the Dealer.

Pat (GXPsy) and I (Rogue) went to the Pontiac Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park and entered the car show. We took 1st and 2nd place in the Solstice class. OK, OK....GXPsy took 1st and I took 2nd. It's not fair - she flirted with the judges.
