Dude, can I see pics of your stripes? I spotted your car in the MMM photos, but nobody would take pics for me... :(

As soon as the sun comes back out (scattered thunderstorms forecast for the area the next 2 days) I'll take some pics and get them posted.

I got to see what my new Solo Mach Shorty with HI-Flow cat, DDM charge tubes and westers race tune can do......(GRIN FROM EAR TO EAR)

Paul, it was great meeting you.  I kept telling you we would get it all done and not to sweat it.  You kept saying that you knew and no worries.  What you did not know was, I was really sweating it but trying not to show it.  Thank goodness you got your tune done and solved the mismatched problem.

Look forward to seeing you again.

Drove 9 hours home from the SMMM7 and GOT TO RACE A LAMBO on the NJ Turnpike... 120 and still accelerating...

DDM, YOU GUYS ROCK!!! That tune was awesome!!! Instant power!!!

We stopped at a rest stop and the guy in the LAMBO (John) was very impressed by the fact I could keep up with him in HEAVY (5 pm) traffic.

All the mods at SMMM7 paid off, I took on a Lambo under the ideal KAPPA conditions and held my own.  Albeit, I went through 1/4 tank of gas in under twenty miles.

WOOHOO!!!

Thanks Bobby for you help brother, you are the best!!! Without you, my meet would have been dead in the water.

Today I discovered just what a tune can do to your gas mileage...18 mpg on this tank, as indicated by the DIC.

Yes, I've had quite a problem keeping my foot out of the gas...

Today I mounted a front plate. :( Typically I keep one on my daily driver (previously a 2003 325i, 2007 Smart Fortwo) in case I need to park on the street, but I tried to avoid it on the Solstice and got ticketed near the gf's place.

Related but not really, I got just under 33mpg on the way back from the meet with the catless downpipe compared to just under 30 on the way down.

Kenny, you were going north and north is always at the top of the map, so it has to be uphill all the way.

installed the passenger cup holder, installed the OEM rear wing, fixed the auto lights function so as to work correctly (they used to run always as DRL).

Kelu, the service bulletin has not yet been released, but will be realeased soon.
technician needs to go to http://service.gm.com/index_en-US/tis.html
upload the update for the autolights for MY 08 model (in your case) and at the last stage, disable the DRL feature.
i m sorry, i can t provide the exact steps, but, i wasn t able to observe the procedure from beggining till the end.
be sure they use the wireless programmer (do not remember the name) and NOT Tech2.
have them search a little bit and your autolights will work as they should have in the first place.

how it used to work: start the engine and the lights were ON no matter if it was day or night.
how it works now: i started the car in full sunshine, the lights were OFF, drove into the dark service garage, lights went ON automatically after 5 sec in the dark. drove from inside the dark garage out in the sunshine and lights went OFF
 ;)
as i said, how AUTO lights are supposed to work...

I believe your car has the same daytime running lights (DRL) that the Solstice and Sky have.  In 06 they where the front turn signals, 07 and beyond the DRL's consited of about 75% power of the highbeams, with no other lights on.  Car stays this way until it get's dark enough to activate the regular lights.  At this point the headlights (low beam), running and tail lights come one.

Kelu - you can check your car and see if this is what is happening.  Start your car in the daylight and release the emergency brake.  The DRL's should come on and nothing else.  Have someone walk around your car and check the other lights.

Arabas - it sounds like you removed the DRL funciton of your lights.  DRL's are a requirement here, I don't believe that is the case in Europe, is that correct?

Put a 10k pot under the dash by the top of the gas pedal to adjust the volume on Onstar. Have to do a review of the new head unit once I get the install all wrapped up.
Just trying to do my part...

Man, now I really confused. What are the DRL? I know what low beams and high beams are.
My low beams are ALWAYS ON until i hit OFF switch.
Around here in daylight you must have low beams on outside of city, in city is not required.

Why to change ALWAYS ON? To protect my HIDs and to forget to turn them on when I drive outside of the city? I'm thinking to skip this.
